Man the wind was howling last night where I'm at. It was kinda nice I can't imagine how it was in the other states.

Same here. No clue what happened to the “pool ball sized hail and tornadoes” where I was. Covered the truck with moving blankets. Feel bad for others who were hit much harder, though.

Not to bad up around Cartersville, just a ton of rain really fast. This is the shop driveway over at my friends place.

Opinions time. I just found this deal on fb market place. I've always like the look of method wheels and I've been thinking about going to a zero offset wheel for a while. According to method these 17s weight about 30 pounds and my fns in 16s weight around 19 pounds. Will that weight gain hurt my performance enough to notice it? Is the look and little bit less offset worth it? This is the best picture I have of my current wheels.

as someone who went from FN Fx Pro wheels to those methods, I did not notice any difference performance wise or feel. When I switched, I used the same size and model of tire so it was a pretty good apples to apples comparison.

My experience may be a little different b/c I went from a 17 to 17 though.
and thats a great price for those wheels.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Tires looks good, I am sure they ride out nicely :)

What’s up Daniel, I saw your post. I would say that while the look is nice you are gonna lose a bit of rubber going from your 16 to 17. Being that you enjoy wheeling a good bit, unless you’re running 35s, I probably would stay with the 16s.

Mainly so you have a bit more wiggle room when you’re airing down. This is the main reason I kept my TRD Pro wheels, being that I had no intention of getting wider tires that would need to accommodate an 8” wide wheel.

If the look is what your after then rock n roll, if it’s performance…your not gaining, you may be loosing a little. Just my thoughts on wheels.

I have been in a similar predicament recently, in thinking about going to 17s on the Tundra. Currently has 18s, which ride nice on the road and thru the mtn roads, but I am closer to getting them into rocks than I would be on 17s.

Also, I put a MITS Alloy Flatbed on it! Pay no attention to the oem bumper, that came off ;)

JB! How is everything brother? How all is well!
Her old Xterra had E load 285 goodyear mtr's on a spacer lift. That was a rough ride so anything better than that is like riding on a cloud to her haha.

Hey man! Nice to see that flatbed! I agree I like smaller wheels. If I do get methods I'm gonna stick with a 16 inch. We gotta meet up and wheel sometime soon.

Life is good, still picking up the pieces after that hurricane hit us. Still no gravel on the driveway but that’s ok. Still grading everything over again.

The road to my place finally got fixed, so it’s not some crazy treacherous drive everyday.

Man you know I am down. Heading to Choco Mtn soon if ya wanna join me.

I've never heard of that. The hurricane messed us up too. I had just bought a house in south GA in June and in September the storm wrecked it. Not nearly as bad as what happend up there though.

Restoring an old Remington 514. Anybody has done it? Any tips. Looks like Numrich as all the parts I might need, but they are proud of them, as usual.
