Water and air pressure can find it's way into a hole you can't even see.

Sunroofs are a great idea that have struggled since day one to be as good as manufacturers claim they are. Everyone plays with theirs when they buy something with one and then one day you realize that it's been 6 months since you even thought about it, much less used it.

This is a common issue with most cars with sunroofs. Most likely the OP got some debris in the sunroof drains and it is plugged.

EVERYONE comes in here telling EVERYONE does this or that and that THEY ALL DO this or that without reading and comprehending EVERYONE ELSE'S testimony that in fact not EVERYONE does this or that or that THEY ALL don't this or that.

None of my wives Subies leaked and my Civic never leaked in 10+ years of ownership... I have never heard of then leaking sunroofs until I joined TW when I got my Tacoma.

Bummer, sorry to hear. Comes with owning a modern day vehicle. They are all appliances. Disposable and poorly made. If you gotta drive something new, at least drive something cool! You get points for that at least.

Compressed air is a typical cleaning method too.

They all “leak”. It’s known by design. Hence why I’m saying they have drip tubes specifically made to avoid any collection of water leading to spillage. When the tubes, or a tube clogs, is the only time you notice it since it spills over to the headliner or wherever gravity takes it

False. My 20 year old 4Runner never once leaked and never once failed to open. I greased it twice in 20 years. Never cleaned it out. I drove it through torrential rains and snow storms over that time. When I sold it last year, the guy opened it and even commented on how smooth it was. Now a Land Rover is another story. Might as well be a screen door.

Maybe I’m not getting through to you guys…is “seepage” or water droplet ingress a better term? Even opening the sunroof you’re going to get any residual water on the seals into the tracks. And like I’ve stated twice now, this is accounted for and the water makes its way down the drains.

You've stated twice that they all leak. Leaking into the interior, which many are stating has not happened, is different than water being directed into drains that are designed to divert collected water.

Lmao yeah no shit that’s what I just stated in what you just quoted me on.

I originally stated they all leak and it’s not an issue until your drains get clogged. Figured people would read between the lines.

Lots of people are misunderstanding here. the sunroof isn’t leaking, there is no fault with the sunroof. Every sunroof design has a drain up top that drains down through the body below.
when the drain gets clogged by debris (small leaves, dust, dirt, etc.) the water from rain has no where to go so it overfills and drain into the interior.

I am stating that how come none of these drains have clogged and hence water has NEVER entered into the vehicles interior? Are you stating Tacoma's have a inferior sunroof design? Yes, two Subies parked under pine and maple trees here in NH, never been clogged. You guys are too much.
