Sounds very painful! If I’m remembering correctly, tetanus shots are good for quite a few years but definitely worth looking into

10 years is the time frame in general but we typically recommend updating it if you have an injury between years 5-10. So if you go 10 years without injury (not likely for me ) then you’re fine but if it’s been more than 5 years, it should be updated.

Watch it closely for infection. Puncture wounds through a shoe introduce some bacterial found in the sole of the shoe/boot so we want to treat them different. Just clean it well with soap and water daily and watch for worsening pain/redness/swelling/drainage or fevers. See your local healthcare provider if unsure!!

I think it would look nice visually to add a second piece of the rounded MDF trim at the very top. But then again it is just the garage.

Trim is 98.7625% done. Dammit, it's nicer than what's in my house

No I didn't 45° the base corners. My old Delta saw is too small to do that to 1x6. Butt joint and caulk baby!

I did do some West Virginia crown molding at the top of the drywall :anonymous:

I was just about to yell "NEVER LEAVE BUTT JOINTS ON OUTSIDE CORNERS!!". but you already owned up to it. Once you paint it you'll still see it though. You will always know it's there and it will always bother you. lol

Just kidding. Eventually you'll forget about it. Except every once in a while. Actually, there's a "compromise" in my kitchen that I just remembered about. lol

Also if your saw is to small: Cut the trim vertically on the miter then flip it upside down and finish the cut.

I have to much crap packed in my garage I'll likely never see it anyways

I almost want to re-do the trim in my house like this now. I will buy a compound sliding saw for that. I do see what you're talking about though. However my eyes and hand don't coordinate very well so I'd probably fudge it up :anonymous:

Just me, myself, and I pretty much. I'm a loner

Just wanted to spruce things up, but I went waaay overboard. Now I'm completely burned out and it's not 100% complete yet. o_O

Square trim i prefer the butt joints in corners. Joining pieces on the walls i did miters

It would look better if the walls were completely flat. The one pictured in particular I didn't originally build and it's off in random spots. My toolboxes cover up the window unfortunately so I'm not sure why I spent so much time on it

BTW....and inside butt joint on square/rectangular stock is essentially a cope. So you can say you did inside corners the correct/professional way!

    :D

I've seen miters on inside corners with 1x stock. :notsure:

My professional builder did square butts on our base. Your work is professional grade.

Yeah walls not being flat makes it a B. My basement had some odd angles too that i had to accomodate on some walls

The thing that screwed me up is while the walls I built are level, the concrete when it was originally poured 1"+ (heck, could even be 2") lower from the house to the other end for water drainage. If I wanted to get really fancy I could have figured out the ever so slight angle. Instead I bought two tubes of Dynaflex 230 caulk instead of one :anonymous:
