RE Poll: I've never had a personalized plate. Though I have had specialty veterans plates for the last 12 years.

    It was a good afternoon.
Finished welding the brackets with the Lincoln AC 225. Bolted solid to the frame & added some 2 x 8.

Are the two 10,000 pound rated hooks overkill? ;)

    20250320_174951.jpg

As a benefit (? o_O ?) of dragging home broken tractors I never have a shortage of junk tires...

    20250320_180336.jpg

I'm here to tell you fellers, cutting up tires is a lot of work. :ballchain:

Maybe the @StayinStock method of just burning them is a better way of disposal.:notsure:

Carrying on, I found the battery reciprocating saw to be the least bad way to cut the sidewall off. After I had the tread loose then the stationary band saw made trimming them to size fairly easy.

Easy as trimming a 5 foot long 12 inch wide snake with a bandsaw gets that is.

    And done.

    20250320_190746.jpg

This was a no dollar project, everything came from the archives. :):):)

    That is the idea!

This will make for a handy mule around the garage, being battery operated sitting around and only running it for a few minutes isn't a problem like a gas job.

Next is a hitch so I can move the trailers.

    Reserected from the dead.
Get yourself a linear actuator to lift the trailer hitch. Don't even have to get off the tractor to hook/ unhook the trailer.
