That isn’t true. They carry the at3w. Depends on the size.

 

"They" may. My store doesn't.

 

They are being phased out / discontinued, some have some stock left but eventually this will be the case. I picked up a nail in mine a few months ago and I'm OCD so I got 4 new OC RTs to replaced them cause they couldnt get me a matching AT3W (discount tire by me).

 

I supposedly bought Discount Tire's last AT3W in 265/70-17 (4Runner) in the US a few weeks ago, at least that's what the computer told the guy ordering it.

They seem similar enough, I would totally run one AT4W with three AT3Ws. Probably put the odd man out on the back, though

 

I don't care for the new sidewall, but I know that's just a weird thing, I know they are a slightly better tire than what I choose to replace the AT3s with.

 

When I got the AT4Ws a while back, I kept the best one of the AT3Ws as the spare. Close enough, and it still has a ton of tread left.
