I've replaced my axles 4 times on the driver's side now (once on the passenger side) (I bought the truck new in 2009). My CV boots keep cracking and quickly splitting open after a couple years on average. Silicone spray may be helping get to that two-year mark, or it might not be helping me. I don't know. It's cheap so I try.
I'm not driving off-road. I'm not driving over sticks, rocks, snow; I'm not driving where things can physically poke at the boots.
Any ideas on why my boots are wearing so quickly?

Both boots split? Just the inner? Just the outer? Same boot every time?

Are the CV axles OEM Toyota brand parts or are they aftermarket?

Not sure your exact situation so I will list a few things to note...
If you are lifted then the lifespan of the boots will often be a bit shorter due to the increased cv angle all the time.
Make sure you are replacing the boots with OEM. As napa brands etc. may be of questionable quality.
If you are rebuilding them yourself, when you regrease the boots make sure not to overpack the boots with grease, this may cause them to inflate when you install the axle and when they bend during turning or suspension movement, causing the boot to rub against itself causing premature wear and splitting. You can help alleviate this by burping the boots once they are installed on the truck with the axle by running a pick in between the sealing area of the boot and cup, giving them a bit of a squeeze just until they are not pressurized like balloons before crimping the clamps.
Hope this helps a bit. For reference I have replaced all 4 of my boots once so far one time and got about 115k miles out of them before the outboard boots split (the inboard boots had not split yet), this was with a 2-3" lift mind you.

No lift, first two boots that ripped open were the original and an OEM, third was aftermarket, fourth was another OEM.
It is the outer boot splitting.

    Thanks for all the replies.

if a boot tears, you have X amount of miles before all the lubricant leaks out, and abrasive debris enters.

a CV either has issues and play or it does not.
If a boot has torn for 500 miles and the CV does not have issues, it can be re booted.

those are the facts. Does not matter who smokes crack. If you figure out facts, you can go based off of facts and not crackheads.

For clarity have you replaced the axle multiple times or have you just used the same axle and put on new boots?

This sounds pretty abnormal. I wonder if there is an underlying issue here..
