Good morning shop crew. I hope it’s been a good week for all of you.

I had some unexpected plumbing fun when I opened a $400 water bill earlier this week. My usage jumped up 10k gallons in a month and the fancy automated water meter the local water company installed a few years ago didn’t send anyone any kind of alert I had to have a leak detection company come out and find the leak as there was no indication of a leak in the yard, I was afraid it was I the slab plumbing. Luckily it was in the supply line running from the house to my shop. Right through the middle of the back yard between the porch and my pool, not a wet spot to be seen. It looks like a crack formed at a pipe junction and the water pressure eventually cut through the PVC coupling. All fixed and buried again.

That was enough hard work for the week, I’m going camping. Have a great weekend!

 

I have this tag on my truck, lots of space center people have this one. Some personalized, most not. You only have 5 letters so I went with Huntc. Since I am a licensed plate weirdo, I have a running list on my phone of future possibilities.

Speaking of vanity plates, I was going to get one for the wife’s new whip (24 Audi Q3). “TROFY W”. I haven’t gotten it because I drive the car every now and then and I don’t want strange looks…

I want to get the Gadsden Flag plate but I just can't decide on what to put on it.

 

I like the Gadsden flag ones I would roll with .45ACP or 2MAGS

I've been thinking about changing mine to the Florida Hunting conservation tag with a Buck on it tag reading WALD the country way of saying Buck Wild

 

I try to be inconspicous as possible...if you have a Gadsden plate guarantee most have a firearm inside

 

I generally agree but with a name like Hunter and a tag related to that, I would assume most other people named Hunter carry...

Funny I saw a guy in Jax Buccees yesterday open carrying, didn't realize we could do that in Florida...I still won't be doing that

 

Be glad it was only $400. One of my customers got their water bill for last month and the water company said they used 509,000 gallons in a month. Over $2200 water bill.
To give you an idea of how much water that was, an Olympic swimming pool holds 660,000 gallons.
The leak detection company found leaks in their irrigation system. Thankfully not the pool which would have been my problem to solve.

I still shake my head in wonder when I see peeps with gun manufacturers decals in the back window.

If you were a thief and wanted to reduce your odds if scoring a gun, wouldn't you break into a car/truck with one of those decals first?

I know thieves generally aren't bright, but they got no job so they got lots of time to think about things like this.

Same goes for signs on your lawn or house.

You do not need advertise that you own something that is easily sold for cash.

My neighbor has a big diesel truck, travel trailer, boat, big Kubota and a Corvette in his driveway - I have Mrs Greens old Subaru & my van - I feel pretty safe...

 

I have one gun sticker on my back glass but I doubt most people would know what it stands for. Either way: if they do know its a gun sticker and they break into my truck hoping for a gun, imagine their surprise when they dont find one!!!

The jokes on them!!

Aside from the broken glass, my credit cards, debit card, cash and everything else in there they could steal.....I'll come out as the winner when they realize there's no gun in there!!!
