Im pretty sure my rear end noise is two of the leafs touching near the rear of the spring due to the shiny spot from contact.

I am looking for stock height rear leafs and would like to know of some choices I have.

    all help is appreciated.

You may be missing a pad, each leaf usually has a pad at the end so that metal on metal doesn't happen.

I'm not familiar with anyone that makes an aftermarket stock height leaf pack, most are 1.75-2.0" lift at a minimum. It's also not too hard to find a set of OEM take-offs from a later model, but since they've been discontinued now, that will be harder to find as time goes on.

The springs have been discontinued? That’s not cool. Now I will need to find stock part numbers and look on eBay.

    thanks for the info

I mean the 3rd Gen tacoma was discontinued. You might be able to buy some OEM leaf springs from the dealer. I can't imagine how much they'd charge you though, as OEM coils cost double the price of aftermarket sometimes.

Oh ok. Yeah I’m guessing $500 a side for the same junk but I don’t want to lift my truck at all. It’s perfect for me at stock height

I have a set of 3rd gen take-off's with 800 miles on them. Not sure where you're at but I'm in AZ. Also have new U-bolts and the hangers that came off with these. They'd be a beast to ship but it's doable if you want them. LMK.

I think I priced it out once and it was around $60 per pack, but it's been a while and UPS rates have gone up A LOT. They're kinda big and bulky and heavy lol. Gotta be a set you can find locally for less than these would cost to send out.

All good man. Just talked to our shipping guys here and the weight isn't a problem, but due to the length they estimate around $300 to ship also. Probably not worth it.

I UPS'd a set last fall from AZ, just had the seller slap a label on them and dropped them off as-is. Cost about $60-70 each including a fee for special handling since they weren't boxed up conventionally. Arrived in better shape than most conventional packages. Probably more than that now, but it's not hard to find people practically (or literally) giving stock springs away.

Look into LTL freight shipping. Basically they throw them on a pallet and toss them on a truck with a bunch of other shipments, hence the LTL (Less Than truck Load). Truck comes and unloads at your local depot where they sit on the pallet until they call you and you go pick up your leafs. No home delivery means it's much cheaper than a courier like UPS. And they usually arrive in better shape cause nobody had to handle them. Last time I did this it cost me $130CAD to ship leaf springs halfway across Canada. A courier would have been closer to $400CAD.

Buying new leaf springs because your current ones are squeaking seems like a very expensive route. Squeaky leaf springs are very common. The leaves have to slide over each other. To combat excessive friction and noise, there are usually pads separating the leaves.

Solutions to squeaky ones have been discussed on tacomaworld many times. Solutions include, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing the friction pads.

General Springs HD is 1.5" stated lift on 3+1 leafs. After a year of having them on, I'd call them 1.25" max, depending on when I take the measurement during the day. $400/pair new.

Deaver Spring makes a 1" lift spring with 4+1 leafs, #J66. Should ride smoother with the additional leaf and hold shape longer. $876/pair new.
