I've had a Tacoma body sitting since December waiting for paint. Maybe I'll get to it this weekend... maybe not

Ha naw, people would want unique graphics and stuff and I don't know how to paint

With that said, that's why I say it's easy!

I don't know how to paint but both my painted bodies came out perfect I think

    I do hate cutting though

Trimming the body out and large curves is easy, but tiny rounded notches for things like a servo horn, are a pain

Back home now and got to mess around with my new slymeballz installed. If im being completely honest im not that stoked on them. In my opinion, for the price and how long I had to wait, they're not much better than the foam inserts that came with my LGRP tires. Will be going with BAMF inserts on all future builds. @Kwikvette If you've got $20 to spend on inserts I highly recommend giving them a try. I'm curious to see what you'd think of them compared to flubrc. Maybe I just got a bad print? Idk, nonetheless here's the link to bamf if you wanna give them a try to compare.

I agree it's nuts what we paid, not to mention how long we waited, but I can definitely say I saw a noticeable improvement right from the get go.

In one climb, I have to specifically get the right wheels on one edge in order to get any real grip and climb up it as it's super steep and formed like a V.

With the Slymeballz, I can completely ignore that specific edge and go straight up multiple times.

Same for another steep climb where it gets off camber really bad, I can just steer straight up into it and crest over the top versus turning one way then immediately the opposite direction to get over.

Once I'm done with my garage stool project, I'll buy some of those inserts. I do have an extra set of Black Labels to use.

I feel like an absolute hack, posting my pre-built, ready to run HPI venture next to all you guys doing comp builds and printing custom parts, but this little guy is pretty sweet. Can't wait to drive over some old school books.

    Hobbysoul inserts next to Injora.
I hacked the Injora's to get them softer and they still weigh 1.5g more than the Hobbysoul.
These are WAY softer. Thinner overall webbing for better squish and the inner ring is larger so that it doesn't hug the wheel ring, it allows the wheels to vent without cutting slits in the inserts.

    I have 3 more sets coming...:anonymous:

Have you tried the score & snap method? I did it for my Tacoma body. It's super easy and it came out great

Score it with a knife or something?

No cause the body gets cut, and only afterward when I mount it can I see where a little more needs to be trimmed

Never tried it though but I'd probably make a mistake seeing how the additional cutouts are so small

Yeah you score it with a razor or hobby knife then just bend to snap it. I'm not sure how it would work for such small adjustments but I can't imagine it would be any more difficult than cutting it out any other way.
