Paint grade I cope inside corners because caulk is cheap and my time isn't. Stain grade I miter all corners because the customer expects perfection and to pay for it out the ass. Been that way for 20+ years and luckily 80% of my finish work is stain grade.

The big trick to properly mitered inside corners is to make the corner before you shoot it to the wall. A little CA glue and a couple 23 gauge pins is how I do that. You learn to be damn good with your numbers though. 1/8" to long or short and the next corners gonna be shit. lol

My folks needed a riding mower because their yard is too big for a push mower, but didnt want to spend the money as other things need to be done to their new place. So, I went down today to the John Deere dealer to get a 2023 S220, and ended up with a 2024 S220 at the same price because they couldn't get the '23 to run right. 4yr 400hr bumper to bumper and it doesn't have that damn $60 quick change oil filter. It got loaded onto my trailer with 0.2hr. Also got the 7cu ft trailer for it.

I was looking at the grass today, would say by next weekend it will be time to mow for the first time this year.

    My post in the "Mowers...thread"

Mowing already!? ralph's rule #1, never mow before may. Not to mention I'm day 2 after lithotripsy up the wazoo! No bouncing thank you. I got up this morning and asked if it was tuesday yet (stent gets removed then)

Rule #2 never cut longer than 30 minutes (not at a time, the whole lawn)
Rule #3 Never cut more than once per week

Have had to break all these rules since the spring comes earlier every uyear.

Yeah, the grass there isn't too bad for most of it, but some of the yard/field is a bit overgrown. Just need to knock it down to make it look better and help prevent ticks. The main area where I will be putting a fence in is just a little bit long. But, after the heavy rain and flooding, I need a few days of dry weather.

Garage project is pretty much done. I need to still go through some stuff and throw away more. Already went to the dump once, looks like probably another trip in order. All that's really left is to correct a couple outlet boxes and all the paint touch ups.

Finally got to park a car in there for the first time in a while

Nice job, everything bright, neat & tidy .

Funny, everytime I clean a space in the garage something (generally broken) magically appears to fill it. :notsure:

I have a 4-car garage plus a tool room and workshop in there and still have the same issue as you.

Installed a Liftmaster 98022 wall mounted garage door opener, now I can easily park in the shop every day. Initial install was a breeze but upon testing, some issues with the garage door were revealed and the door went crooked and mangled a couple of hinges. Had to fix some issues with the track alignment, replace hardware that was loose, adjust the drums, re-tension the spring, and lubricate the rollers, bearings, spring, and hinges.

Install round 2 was also a breeze, with a flawless test run and the opener has been working great all week.

So take this as a PSA: maintain your garage doors and if installing an opener, check to make sure everything is perfectly aligned and functional even if the door seems to function fine as is.

Ripped out the old, rotten, and bent 7x16 garage door. Started the install of a new 8x16. Man, what a pain in the ass. I have to get a belt sander tomorrow and take some of the wood down to level so everything fits right. Unfortunately, the frame is not square. So, I will be making it work.
This is just to get it to function, I'll worry about looks when I start on the siding and trim.

Edit: yes, I know the roof is crap. It'll be getting ripped off and replaced this summer.

I would love a 4 car garage ... I have a 2 car garage and it is full with no room except for the 4Runner to be squeezed in when I go on trips.

    Squeeeezzzed is the word too.

Can you take down the high spot in the middle ? Will that help ?

I rented a concrete grinder once and had to go down 1.5" (about 10 sq. ft down 1.5") on some very hard 3,500 PSI, well seasoned concrete ...

Not too bad except my arms vibrated for a few days afterwards. lol

I could, however, the floor is actually level. The bottom panel of the door is actually bowed up on the ends.
