Look good, I hope she wins.

She did not, her skills are not quite there yet. Plus we are out of the eligibility area.

    This is her last masterpiece.

When I started rebuilding mine I watched a lot of videos on YouTube. Filthy Motorsports has a lot of good videos and they are fairly local to you. They are in Boulder. I called Down South Motorsports and they were very helpful on what stacks to order.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I just read a ton of literature, watched the vids from filthy Motorsports and analysed the stacks from other shocks I liked the ride of to gain a bit of a picture of what's what. My best piece of advice is learn to figure out what you don't like about the right accurately. It's super easy to mistake harsh compression for too much rebound and make the wrong changes. But I can help recommend shim changes if I know what shims you're running currently and what changes you feel need to be made. It's a science as much as an art

that’s the thing I’m wondering about, they didn’t ask for her age when I submitted it; so like are they just going to pit 5 year olds against 12 year olds or what, I figured they’d at least divide it up by age groups lol. Oh well will be fun either way to see what they pick

If they didn’t ask for a age. That means any college arts degree kid could have entered

    the system is rigged

Or adult for that matter but hey, if they want to win free tickets that badly that they’d scam a kids contest then that’s the world we live in I guess lol

Man, Murphy (the bald eagle who had fathered a rock for a bit) was found dead after some bad storms. The sounds, etc could've spooked him (theories).

Although there's no exact cause of death, just that he's old and suffered a head injury?

Lived to be 33 years old.

    Stuff. Also things.
The lady and I were out for a drive yesterday and she saw a bald eagle hanging out in a farmers field.

We pulled over about 70 yards away from where he was posted up in this gigantic dead cottonwood just in time to see him drop out of the tree, hover over this prairie dog and pounce on him. We couldn’t tell at first if he had gotten one, but he flew up a few feet and you could see it in his talons before he slammed it on the ground one last time to kill it. Once it was dead he just flew off to another cottonwood about a quarter mile away where you could see him drop it off with his mate in their nest who was feeding some chicks.

It was the coolest fucking thing to catch all that at just the right time. Every time I see one I’m impressed with just how massive a bird they are.

Yeah it's basically a small truck with a bit more interior room (width and length) and a more powerful engine. Throw a GFC on there and it would be a really nice weekend rig. Width would be the big drawback. It probably has a teeny fuel tank too--I doubt the original Tundra tank fits into the short wheelbase.

I like the 2wd shorty Tundra conversions I've seen, too. They're like a v8 mini truck, except not actually mini.

Well, step one to the learning process was ruining one of the bodies while trying to convert it from pellet fill valve to Schrader valve.

That outcome was expected. This particular pellet design is especially awkward. These were shocks that were destined to the scrap bin already so no big deal.

So, I'm scrapping the sissybar pad idea and going with the Vyper backrest pad.

Someone wanted to buy my stool as a parts kit - legs, jig, and top round plate. The legs only take up 12" x 16" of steel, and the top round is only 6.5" in diameter.

For that, I requested a Vyper backrest pad so one is ordered.

Whole setup is gonna be homemade with the exception of the back pad on it
