Has anyone traded their 3rd gen for a 4th hybrid?

Yea, some folks use it for little people but I bet the percentage is relatively low. Especially when a Lexus is nearby.

Picked her up yesterday. Beyond happy. Love the power! If I did not know it was a 4 banger I would have thought it was a V8 under the hood!

 

3rd looks better than 4th by far. No contest.
4ths look Chevy like.

 

Funny thing about Gen4 styling is that I’ll walk into my garage and at a glance see the same handsome Tacoma as my ‘16-‘18-‘23….except now it’s looks like it spent some serious time bulking up at the gym. Better proportions too, b/c the designers weren’t saddled with recycling the Gen2’s cab & chassis.

Six Million Dollar truck this one…it’s still Steve Austin, just “better, stronger, faster…”

2019 TRD offroad and wouldnt trade for a 4 cylinder. Also the price of a new tacoma is ridiculous.

 

Cool man enjoy less torque delivered at far higher rpm, less useful power, and a far worse transmission just because the number of cylinders is different.

 

6 years and only replaced the battery, not sure what transmission issues your talking about. 5.29 regear has all the torque needed. That 4 cylnder is going to get over worked and fail, engine belongs in a car.

 

Owner of an engine that produces peak torque at 5000rpm says engine that produces more torque 3300rpm lower belongs in a car
