I prefer a different CAD, Cardboard Aided Design.
Though when you start getting into precise design requirements or wanting to 3d print real CAD is what you need, but for making simple brackets cardboard is my go to.
3003 aluminum is great for making simple brackets, easy to cut, easy to drill, and easy to bend.

Tinkercad is what I use for when I need to make simple 3d prints that I can't find on Thingiverse

most cables are made so you can remove the end and shorten to the necessary length.

This jack has larger wheels than most other jacks. It also comes with a removable extension.

Does it come in 4x4? Can you upgrade it to 35s?

I guess I didn't really closely examine the plug end to see if it is removable or requires some kind of crimping tool. I'll check that out shortly. Currently browsing Jeff's site for a mount for the mic, either in vents or a cup holder version. It came with one, but it would require drilling or adhesive.

It’s got pretty good reviews. Besides the larger wheels that are nicer to move around rough surfaces and the extensions, it’s also lighter than most jacks of that weight rating. I think the bottom is flat/covered so as the wheels sink into soft surfaces the bottom takes the brunt of the weight.

That price is super tempting. I usually miss these sales, but dangit I don’t think I actually need it and I don’t want to deal with storing it lol.

I have this jack. Bought it last fall. It replaced a 2 1/2 ton jack that I got from Home Depot many years ago. So far I have been pleased with its lifting.

After that explanation, I kinda want one, but then I’d have two jacks in the garage and the boss wouldn’t approve. Does anyone actually bring one of those off-roading?

yeah they even make mounts for them

I like it cuz it doesn't get hung up on a pebble rolling around the garage

ive got a pro eagle (bought before the badlands was a thing). I can wheel it across my gravel driveway with zero issues. these jacks are so much much nicer with the big wheels. they also have a completely solid bottom so they dont sink into sand / grass / etc

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Really? I thought they were crimped...how would you get a good electrical connection?

It depends. Some are crimped. some are a screw together connection. its just coax cable, the screw together part is just to hold it together, the part that matters is the solid core wire in the middle.

My favorite feature of the BadLand off road jack is the locking handle.
I don't know if any other modern jacks have it but it makes maneuvering it around the garage and driveway so much easier.

I think it's better to not overlap it too many times, so make bigger loops if you're going to roll it up. Otherwise, see if you can get a shorter cable.

Hmmm.. I wonder if this has anything to do with why I don't come through better, as mine is longer, and the excess is rolled up. Maybe I should be ordering a shorter cable, too. :notsure:
