I first went to JBA and all thier customer service said was they are sized at oem bushings. Not very helpful

I have super old arms that I do not think those work for. And I havent heard great things about those either.

Howdy fellas, happy Friday. Playing catch-up here... quick explainer on why/if/when I'm MIA recently and possibly in the near future

Daughter #2 was born this past Tuesday! Officially a father of two and girl dad x2. Brave new world for us navigating life with two kiddos. But extremely happy and everyone is doing well / healthy so all good things over here.

If anyone is interested in getting the bad lands offroad jack, it is going to be one sale for one day only, tomorrow, Sunday March 23rd, for $229 with an insider track membership at Harbor freight. This is a huge deal!! I have one that i purchased when it first came out and it have NEVER been this low before.

And badlands winching stuff - shackles, etc. Is also something like 30% off tomorrow too.

I don't think you need inside track for the ten days stuff. They also have a promo this weekend for a free set of straps (or a moving blanket or a set of impact drivers but let's be real) - free with inside track, otherwise any purchase over 25 or something gets it.

Took Rob's advise, disconnected the negative terminal last Sunday. Check engine light cleared and hasn't come back on.

If it's not a ball joint or blown shock, my guess is some form of contact. UCA hitting coil? Change suspension recently? If so was it Torqued while on the ground

pretty much, thats when its loudest.
Edit: Some times as I come to a stop going down grade, i will hear it, just not as loud. The only place I can almost always always expect it to happen is coming in and out of my drive way.

Suspension was almost 15k ago, last spring. And yes torqued while on the ground. Did not make any noise til mid summer, or at least I didn't notice til them.

I would throw a little lube (grease) on the steering stops. Try that first. It's the easiest.

Ill look into this, it doesn't make the noise if I am on flat ground and turn all the way, not sure if that makes a difference.

Almost done mechanicin on shitboxes and get to fabricating again.

Got the transmission out on Friday.
    upload_2025-3-24_9-13-4.png

Pulled the clutch and found the culprit for the clutch failure. Leaking trans input seal. Off to ford, had the parts in stock. Bastards. Got it all cleaned up.

    upload_2025-3-24_9-14-12.png

Got distracted by the ranger raptor. Has a watts link(instead of a panhard) and nobody can convince me that thats not a toyota 8"

    upload_2025-3-24_9-15-28.png

Bought Amazon tools and got amazon tool results. I have 2 inner seal removers and 0 inner tool installers. Another kit is coming tomorrow.

Thats what its like. I love when a $20 seal destroys a $600 clutch.... And dont even get me started about having a $600 clutch in an econobox

Yes, we are 2 overnights and 7 packs of redbull into a 20 minute repair.

    So, the usual.
