Yep.. I agree with most of the posts about getting older. I remember when I thought it would never happen to me. I was wrong about that, big time! Now, I'm just grateful to be here.. or anywhere above the dirt... oh, and I'm grateful for pain patches. Now where's my pants? I need to post where I took them off, so I can look it up later.

With all due respect, I’m thankful that we got our share of the retirement enjoyment, the following generations deserve their share as well I hope.

New washer and dryer in - the best part are the tall risers with huge drawers underneath. Cleared the laundry room right up and make it so much easier to do laundry!

Just re-hung the heavy door- wife is still a great hinge pin placer. Went right in with some gun lube. Yeah it was close.

Son and DIL got new machines with pedestals last year and they love them.

Better bonus. We came home a few minutes ago. The area in the room, hallway and bathroom- the funk in the air- GONE. It just plain smells better. The old pair I think slowly had built up a stink

No stink in mine.... I leave the washer door open since it's not in the way.

Pretty sure that's what they have - was the ONLY brand when they needed a machine that they could find the pedestals for. No one had any for any of the other brands.

Been think speed queen for the next one as well, just :spending::spending::spending::spending::spending:

Our LG at the last house never stunk

This was a Whirlpool that came with the house. We tried everything but with a septic we go easy on the bleach. We made it better but really the machine was junk anyway

I think that stench was never coming out of that POS washing machine completely- it was too far gone. Wife did a lot to diminish it and our clothes never had a smell just the machine itself had a strange low level smell

I have never ever had the inside of my washing machine smell bad. Don’t know what’s going on with ya alls machines. Maybe it’s the water in your area. Never ever clean the inside of my washers. My wife is a stickler for cleanliness and smells and if it was dirty or smelled she would be on it.

It all started with Maytag front loaders back in the day. They would retain.....wet......gunk and it would putrefy. Look it up. We never had a problem with a top loader, or really any machine we bought new. As I stated, this one came with the house. And it stunk. Wife ran cleaners, bleach, H2O2, baking soda, vinegar, Tide, Downy, etc and all the tub and water contact lines were clean - plus we always left the door open, but as I stated again the machine had a low level smell in the wash room (not in the rest of the house!)..........etc and well we sorta got used to it in there. PS, it wasn't leaking. Just glad to have the thing GONE
