I am looking at buying an 2015 or 2020 Tacoma TRD off road or limited, if I can find one.
I have concerns about the Seat quality, and if their are big differences in the seat comfort between the different trim packages, lumbar adjustment, heated seats, etc.
I have read conflicting info on how comfortable the seats are.
    Thanks for any replies.

2015 aren’t bad, but don’t even come close to the heated leather power seats found in the 2020 Limited or the premium OR.

I have the power seats on my 20 …they are not super comfortable but they don’t bother me . The power seat is only on the driver seat. Has lumbar ..height and angle for the seat . You can adjust to your comfort . Can’t. Compare to the 15 but I’m guessing it’s definitely an improvement .

Yeah, I had a 15 and those seats were not bad when compared to the 2017 I drove. I also agree with the previous post that the 2020+ seats are not nivarna but can at least be adjusted with the 10 way power seats.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
6'3". The 'sport' seats found in the TRD models of the 2nd gen were more comfy than the TRD electric seat in my 21. The 21 has more adjustment, but the 2nd gen seat was superior for me comfort wise. Many people complained about the 2nd gen seats. I never sat on the standard ones so no reference there. I had to have the thigh support as high as it would go in the 21 and needed a little more.

The late 2nd gen seats appear to be all the same, with different fabric depending on model. Later 3rd gen seats have greater adjustability so you can hone in the comfort level. I do 10 hour runs north in my '14 (same seats as '15) and find them reasonably comfortable. A little shifting now and then but that could just be my age. Not as good as my Tundra (bigger truck, bigger seats) but much better than a lot of others. My son's '23's seats seem similar to mine. You'll have to sit in each and let your butt-o-meter let you know which is best for you. As far as quality, my Softex seats still look like new.

I I have a 2023 TRD Off Road. When it comes to seat comfort, I miss my Subaru.

Subaru actually make comfortable seats now? …it’s been awhile since we owned and test drove a Subaru (had an Outback) but for me it was the seats that forced me to steer my wife away from Subaru and to the Acura SUV’s. Funny thing before we bought the new 2006 MDX we test drove a Highlander ….again the seats sucked, and was the same price as MDX, which was twice the vehicle the Highlander was. Still have the MDX and have since bought an RDX ….very comfortable and fun as hell to drive.

My Subaru was a 2017 Outback.
