I stole this file and tried it:
Still not perfect, but the .2mm hot end was an improvement

if you insist on the letters being outward facing instead of inwards, use supports. Or just indent it inside a single layer then fill it with something else.

He's a cantankerous old fart who regularly thrashes a race ready sport bike on twisty country roads and sports a serious mohawk, frightening women and children with amazing regularity, of course he insists!

What's even worse, he's a retired Printer. :annoyed:

Thanks for the input. This was a big learning opportunity. Next week, when I have some free time again, I'm going to try the type de-bossed to see how that works. TBH, trying this on an object this small created issues that I should have given more attention. The type in Tim's pic is less than 3/4" x just over 1/4". I enlarged it and tried again, printing in a different orientation, and it worked better...even with a .4 nozzle. Again, when I have more time I will try it with a .2 nozzle.

All of this is being done for possible future uses. Thanks all for the great pointers.

anyone with a creality ender know where this could have come from? i think it covers the hot end, but i'm not sure. it was in the back of my enclosure so it must have happened "recently" (i haven't printed anything in a few weeks).

i'm guessing its for the hot and to keep all the hot stuff enclosed?

I think you are correct. Looked at mine, and it appears to be on the hot end. You may need to remove the fan shield to replace it.

That is indeed what it is. They just slide over the hot end, no need to pull the fans, just pop it in from the bottom.

My kids getting longer and grabbing everything she can get her hands on and diaper changes were getting annoying. Moved all the accoutrements from the inner part of the table to some holders on the outside. Each ones an individual piece, 3 basic sizes, just slips over the edge. Wifes happy, so i’m happy.
