Got 50mph gusts tearing across my hilltop....

Its sunny & 55, but that wind sure do make it feel colder.

Dogs are going nuts all the wind & trees cracking.

 

I like hearing about your project. It reminds me how time intensive sailing is, but what a cool science it is too.

 

It was an expensive day between the new rigging and rigging tension gage. Sailing is one of those things that require a lot of physical input and mental thought. Especially when heeled over on a fresh breeze and walking the edge of tipping over by playing with the tiller.

 

That's why I removed the skid plate and had them replace the hard lines, that way they get paid for moving the ac compressor since the engineers put it in the way of bolt removal.

But here , even independent shops have to follow the same rulebook that state how much time a job should take so a s job that should take 2 hours and takes 3, well, you don't get paid for an hour of your work. Nice.

I am hoping the Toyota shops have a slight bit of integrity left

 

Just got a call, the steering pump pressure sensor is broken, so no fluid is being circulated, but they have to replace the whole pump, switch is built in.

 

We hit 90° today

 

Independent shops don’t have to do anything.
I’ve spent 4 hours on a 2 hour job and charged 4 on a pay ticket. Rust, aftermarket shit, previous damage.
Warr doesn’t give a shit about me. So, either take the time to save other parts, and not get paid,or just break stuff.
I save cust pay parts as best as possible but, I’m gonna charge you for it.
I can say for certain, I lost over a half million dollars in my career working for free…
If I had known what it was going to turn into, I would have done something different.

This pressure sensor DOES NOT STOP ANY FLUID FROM CIRCULATING.
It monitors the pressure and increases idle speed when turning the steering wheel.
Not sure of your symptoms….
