Ok, to add a little context. Air cooled stuff runs really hot for the most part. The 15w40 offers plenty of cushion for those extremely hot days.

    Yup winch was trashed..

Saved the nylon rope & fairlead. It was a 50' in good shape.

Was gonna put the other winch on, but wife said why bother?
Me: well incase I get stuck.

Her: ur not allowed to go over the hill when it's wet & muddy anymore. You are too old & it's too risky.

    Me: sigh. Yes boss.

On the fun side I did pick up a little excavator job for a neighbor. Gonna clear some brush with my hog on it next week. Fun fun!

Wow. That "wet/muddy" hill better look like below or that conversation would take a turn for the worse.

Split wood again most all weekend. I did take time out to try out the new 42” tiller yesterday.
I always said a 3 point tiller was something I’d probably never buy but man is it nice. I’m thinking since tractor too small for a plow I’m going g to try a subsoiler and between it and the tiller I should be good.
This was just a first till only about half as deep as it’ll go but did a great job kicked up some damn big rocks also

    We have very steep hills/trails.
Steep enough that 4wd tractors slides backwards. Lots of flip overs in this area as well.

So I'm not too bothered now days by her level of concern/control.

She never says no to me buying equipment or toys... Just puts limits on when can use them.

    Lmao

When it rains at our house our 4 wheeler won't even make it up the 1st hill in the woods, you can forget it with the tractor or skidsteer as well.

Morning y'all been using a floor vacuum for cleaning the floors the last couple of days.
On to the tractor stuff, ordered my fuel filter and oil filter, a new toplink for the B7100 on Sunday. The current toplink is a little bit too long for my new setup.IMG_20250322_114224114_HDR.jpg if you look closely the current toplink is completely compressed, so I have little adjustment towards the tractor which is not ideal.
All should be here today or tomorrow. Wait I spoke too soon as something is coming FedEx and USPS.
Y'all have a great and safe day today.

I was thinking when I retire, shortly I hope, funding an older B7100 or other Kubota to restore might be fun.

That driveway looks like the fines fell down under the rocks. Be sure to scarify the crap out of it before regrading. And I’d do it in wet weather or water it down good before touching it so the moisture helps the fines stick to the rocks. Nice bb

Hey all! Been out of things for a while since having surgery about 3-4 weeks ago. Things like that tend to change your mindset to focus on health instead of all other things! anyway, I'm almost back to 100% and back to reading threads. Just wanted to chime in on a couple things...
-Opossums are great animals and I hope everyone leaves them alone
-Having an old tractor as a project for rebuild.....just sounds way cooler than trying to restore an old car
-Careful of counterfeit parts. I purchased a hydraulic coupler a year ago from Amazon and it turns out it was a knockoff made in china. The inner bushing came loose and messed up the flat face keeping it open. Lesson learned.....just go to the local place (Cauliflower for me) and buy the real Parker couplers that cost $$$ not the cheap chinese $ knockoffs.

Other than that, let's get to weed and feed, trout fishing, and mulching (not in that order).
