I will say this however, I have ran into a few bad migrant workers also. A cuban guy started working for us and later got fired for not working hard and the next day we realized that he had stolen 4 brand new Goodyear wrangler tires from the main barn.... Nice guy...

There's always a lazy bastard or two working at any given company. Interestingly enough, in my experience it's usually the owner's son, nephew, etc. But I have had some cases where it seems like the slacker and their supervisor simply get along too well and cover for each other.

You're 16, you've most likely got a long life of work ahead of you. Either become the business owner and control whether you have slackers around you or not, or just get used to having them around.:D

Yeah I see where you coming from. My dad has always taught me that if I don't work as hard as possible then I won't get any respect (being the boss's son and all) and it's worked so far.

Too many unemployed hard workers out there to support a hayburner. Your dad needs to sit this guy down, tell him his expectations, if the dude can't live up to it then see-ya. But seriously, I've had some folks that don't know they suck at work until you tell them, then they improve... but some folks just gotta get fired.

I have a theory too, all illegal mother fuckers be exiled back to their country of origin, whether they're "workers" or not..

I can appreciate that you realize you've got it better (your generation)

but you can save all the "hardest workers" shit for the choir, I've worked with lazy mexicans, blacks, whites, etc; lazy is lazy & ethnicity is not a factor..

    nice realization ...;)

I like it. There are lazy folks of every race and color, but at least the immigrants who made the effort to get here (legally or not) showed some initiative. That's better than half the american born and bred idiots I went to high school with.

We hire Iraqi nationals to work for us, they arent the hardest workers out there, they expect to have things handed to them. We have caught them numerous of times stealing from us and alot have quit saying a 12hour work day is unhealthy.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm not going to turn this into an immigration issue because what a couple of you think . Hard work is no excuse for breaking the law, so ANY hard workers from other countries feel free to apply for citizenship & wait in line like everyone else.. thats all i got to say about it...

Laziness doesn't discriminate. Those who work their way into America are to be commended, not for breaking our laws flagrantly, but because they showed some initiative. However they should also be punished so as not to encourage breaking our laws.

No system is flawless, nor should we expect some silver bullet for immigration. We shouldn't 'open the floodgates' nor should we deport everyone here illegally. Moderation my friends...

A lot of immigrants don't go to the Doctors because they don't have health care. If you worked where I work you would quickly realize that the people that abuse the system are Americans citizens...
