Installed the Xtrusion Overland's XO.Skeleton bed rack last week, used it to haul some 10ft long boards today. Extrusion bars are so versatile, can put tiedown points anywhere.

Morimoto BigBanger Pods added to my Prinsu rack, they're not really a friendly addition like Diode Dynamics SS5 crosslink where they provide a specific bracket for mounting to the front of the Prinsu. Morimoto doesn't have anything like that for sale, so it's just up to end user (fine by me, I'm plenty crafty).

Anyways I just added another crossbar behind the wind fairing for the pod bar to mount to. I'm currently waiting to get the pod links in (still on backorder) so each individual light is just bolted to the crossbar currently with their normal brackets, pod links will lower them down about a half inch and push them forward about a half inch as well. Either way it's 90% complete until I get the pod links in! Also decided the different lenses (four combo versus the two spot) is going to bother me in amber DRL mode so I just ordered two combo lenses so they'll all be combo lights once I get those in and swapped as well.

WOW, I was literally just looking at the 6 pod bigbanger bar mounting option to my sherpa rack for the past two days. Great stuff! I tested their bigbanger hxb and found it to be my favorite over baja's lp6 and Diode Dynamics ss5 pro. I am trying to figure out a way to mount them lower, so they dont sit on top of the bar but in front of it. I will see.

I saw your comparison on YT and was glad they came on top! Beautiful work on that test as well! I've been piecing this pod setup together for a few months, couldn't just drop the full amount on all of it at once lol.

Some guys just delete their fairing and use the pods as a fairing, but I didn't even bother trying that, I can't imagine the wind noise I'd get from that. I have it mounted pretty well and I think with the end brackets and links, it will sit nicely, I might still end up cutting my fairing to move the lights down and forward, I just wanted to get them mounted for the time being. I can always cut the fairing down the line, can't add material back to it lol. The biggest issue is that angle at which the fairing extrusion is at, that Morimoto side bracket allows for a fair amount of tilt, but not nearly as much as the fairing sits at. This way I have a secure mounting solution with its own dedicated crossbar, as you know, these pods are HEAVY (4lbs each). So you've got like 24+lbs to worry about mounting.

Well said I will probably end up in the same boat, I am looking at 2 interesting potential options.
    1. SS5 end brackets seem to have that angle and probably sits lower and may still work with the fairing.

    upload_2025-3-25_15-27-58.png
this maybe a good compromise to have it still sit on top of the bar but much lower than the morimoto's brackets. Maybe they will work with morimoto's size and hole location.

Eventually, I really want to get this look with the bigbangers.

Vleds designed and manufactured the bulbs for the meso kit until meso outsourced to china. With the cheaper price comes a cheaper product.
Plenty of people have had no issue with “meso” branded bulbs, but vleds still sells their bulbs for the meso kit. Personally, after my 3rd meso switchback burnt out in 2 years, I just bought the vleds version.
Wish I’d just gone to the source in the first place.
TBF Meso warrantied my bulbs twice no questions asked, but the bulbs are almost never in stock, just like the kits. Just fair warning

"Buy once, cry once." Meso seems to always have issues with having any inventory in stock which is why I went with VLEDS. After one of the red bulbs and one of the wiring harness stopped working properly I was able to get them replaced with very little hassle. So glad I went with them right off the bat.

Your truck looks better and better every time you post a pic! Really love your light set up.

Your build actually inspired me to get the backlit diode dynamics ditch lights instead of the non backlit ones.

Thanks so much for the kind words! That reminded me I needed to update my profile picture lol. This truck has been such a good time for me, my creativity, and honing my skills. Backlight is the way to go!!! (unbiased opinion obviously)

    Obviously unbiased lol

Yeah I’m torn now because my Diode light bar and fogs aren’t back lit, so part of me wants to upgrade them to backlit versions but that wouldn’t be worth the cost lol

Here’s my current set up…it’s very functional but not as cool looking haha

I’m still trying to decide which bed liner to get. I really like the looks of the Weathertech one. And it has, what looks like about a 2 inch lip around it too. Has anyone gotten one of these or opinions on whether it is good or not. A friend has the OEM type and when you slide something in the mat tends to bunch up on itself like a rug.

Painted my brackets for the bed bar the other day and now that they are dry I installed my bar.

Kinda wish I spent the extra $30 to get a black ano extrusion but then again odds are after a few uses I might want to redesign it, so it's definitely good enough for now.
