My mom wanted to lease one for me when I was in high-school, you couldn't even give me that truck

I remember being woefully disappointed at every aspect while test driving it

Not that my opinion matters, but ADS! I’ve got them on the front, and everyone knows the best shocks come from Tucson :D The deal on these locked was too good to pass up though Is a black pepper

For a very, very long time I thought that song was sung by a woman. I still think it's more fun when interpretted as a punk high school lesbian anthem.

I found a cheaper quote for shipping my truck - between 800 and a grand depending on drive availability.

ADS 100% no contest, but that's a huge price differential too. For the price of a pair of locked triple bypasses I can barely have a set of smoothie ADS haha.

If it's me... I'm probably welding the slug in to the arm. You can also do the old trick of staking the inside of the bore to create a raised section people used to do that for spun taper roller bearings all the time

Oh I know, but I have been enjoying the ADS 2.5s I have on the back of my truck. Way better than the miles out, failed lower bearing, squeaky Icons I have up front.

just don't wanna drop the cash for new shocks, but I think a proper front end rebuild with coilovers with the built to use coilover would be nice

I was a hotshot driver for another company for a brief period before I left after they refused to fix the trailer brakes or replace tires until they blew out... or have insurance

Don't go with the cheapest quote

Are there real cons to welding them in?
Other than not being able to switch to different ucas

If the taper is the same between the 2 different studs on the ucas you should be able to swap them no problem

Not really since they don't bear much load vertically. The only load that they bear vertically really is just the weight of the arm. If it's me I'm just putting a little welds on there though you're not trying to harden the forged steel you're just trying to keep the slug from being loose and the snap ring is really what's still keeping it from popping out entirely
