I use Momento. MA6. Front and rear. Do not forget to see if your insurance offers a discount for having one.

I have the regular dongar and it only powers on when I have the truck started. The garmin does a little beep too, so you know it’s turned on

I have a Garmin Mini 2 in the back, and a Garmin Dash Cam 47 in the front attached to the dongar adapter.

I have battery power in the bed for other stuff. I just tapped into that with a USB plug. Have a camper top on there so its attached to the rear window of the camper.
Before that i had the OBDII power run back to the rear window. they include a cable with plenty of length for that. ran the wire along the door sill.

I have the Viofo brand ... front and rear dashcams. I have it on our vehicles. It came in handy in a recent accident I was involved in. Other than the obvious and common features with most dashcams, you can use it for parking monitoring also by installing a simple and inexpensive accessory from them. It has a battery monitoring feature where it will cutoff power to the dashcam if it senses the battery is being discharged to a level you can set.
