I got a $47,868 sticker 2025 OR DC for $44,000 out the door.

Regarding my previous post #80, my TRD had some useless options.

14-in. Toyota Audio Multimedia display FIO $845.00
    Premium Paint FIO $475.00
    Spray On Bedliner $575.00
Cast Aluminum Running Boards (D-Cab Only) Step up and step in. These sturdy running boards with Tacoma logo give you easier access to your Tacoma. • Durable aluminum construction with slip-resistant coating. PIO $1,199.00
    Spare Tire Lock $75.00
    Alloy Wheel Locks $105.00
All Weather Floor Liners PIO $199.00

    Total Optional Equipment $3,473.00

The base MSRP was $42,900, plus $1,495 in delivery was $44,395 - without any options. They "took off" $4,363 (9.1%), but added their $495 in dealer fee. So really, they only deducted 8.081%. That said, if it didn't include $954+ in nearly useless options, its not that great of a deal. The running boards are an additional $1,200, which is retarded. I like them, but $500-600 is my value of them.

I paid the price for color and convenience. There are very few red ORs around here. Once those stock wheels are replaced, I think it's going to POP.

I think my "adjusted" discount was, % wise, a whole lot less, depending on what value you put on these options

I had shopped about 10 Dealers in So-Cal with the big screen infotainment (+red), most wouldn't budge from their original MSRP @47-49k. But the major volume sales dealerships were already discounting 1.5-3k. So, the sales manager showed to me after the negotiations that he was getting rid of it -$1200 below their own invoice. Their TTL was not marked up and matched my numbers.
Gonna get rid of the Pred steps though.
This is financed with 10k down, and likely to aggressively pay it off due to the interest rates.

Purchase date 20MAR, 2025 TRD Sport pearl white, long bed 2WD, 14” screen, spray on bed liner, toyoguard platinum, screen protector, clear paint protection, posh floor mats, window tint. Window sticker 44,541. Selling price 41,834 taxes(4.75%) title/license 2,063. Total OTD 43,897. No trade, cash purchase. Invoice price is 36964, dealer MSRP is 39,990 plus 1,545 destination plus 1,776 in options. Toyota also pays dealers a “holdback” fee of 2% of base MSRP (799.80). So, the dealer’s actual cost is invoice 36964, 1,776 (options) and 1,545 destination fee, minus 799.80 (holdback) a total of 39,485.20. I paid 41,834 with no dealer fee, window tint, posh floor mats, tire nitrogen (complete BS) and ceramic coating (all dealer add ons) were eaten by the dealer. That’s 2348.80 profit to the dealer. Remember car dealers have to make money, they don’t like you so much they will lose money to sell you a new car. I live in South Alabama but bought in FL due to crazy dealer prices (market adjustments between 2,000 and 5,000 dollars). I see people getting better “up front” prices but I would love to know how much they financed and at what rate. For instance if one were to finance 35,000 at 4.9 for 60 months that is 4,533 in dealer profit. Of course they would be willing to shave a little more off the top when they stand to make double off of the back end. I considered financing as they were offering 2.9 on the 2025 models for 36 months but they wouldn’t shave any more off the top so it was no value added to me and I paid cash. Please bear in mind the amount of interest you are paying over the life of the loan because that is all dealer profit.

I went to the local (Portland, OR) dealer on Friday and he said with the brake recall on OR models they have almost none to sell. Cant sell them unless they have had the brake recall so very very few - and none with the options/color/etc I want. Can't order one. Timeline is 'indefinite' for recall. Is this right? I have not yet tried other dealers. I finally got myself convinced on all the options/color/price/etc but now can't buy it?

Apologies if there is another thread discussing this.

Not sure which dealer you were at, but if I were shopping (in the PDX area) I would check with Gladstone Toyota, Wilsonville Toyota and Vancouver McCord Toyota.

If you’re on the fence better jump on it now before the 25% tariffs are added!

After having a deposit down for over 6 months my dealer says they just could not locate what I wanted. I went online and found the exact truck 144 miles away. Immediately put a deposit on it. It's scheduled to be built late April with delivery late May or early June. I can't wait to see how this plays out (fingers crossed).

Good luck. I put a deposit down on a 2025 trd off road in bronze oxide with premium hybrid engine with a dealer 128 miles from my house. The vessel arrived 2 weeks ago and the truck got delivered last Friday. I picked it up last Saturday! Feeling relieved!

Tariffs will add $10-$15K to the price of a new Tacoma.

I’m going to start changing my oil every 1000 miles now lol. Gotta make this thing last

I’m very curious how this plays out for you. I hope you are able to get your dream truck without getting hosed! Sales tax is bad enough (4.75% in my area and that’s cheap comparatively) please keep us all posted, we are all hoping for the best for you!

I hope everything works out which it should. It feels good to get the exact vehicle that you want. I just went through the same thing and I am loving this truck. This is the first time I didn't settle and it has everything that I wanted. Besides putting on some better tires for winter there is nothing that I want to do to this truck.

Any new purchases since the tariffs? Or any new deals people are getting in April?

I put a down payment on one the night before the tariff announcement that isn’t scheduled to be built until April 27th, so I probably won’t have it until the end of May best case. They told me the price won’t change, we’ll see if they honor that.
