Going to throw a bunch of weld on there anyway with the gussets
Thats what we were mocking up when we noticed the slug wasn't press fit

I mean even if I have to get a new spindle in the future, thats what I'd have to do anyway so might as well send it. Can't believe tacking it in never even crossed our minds standing there lmao
That spindle has a nearly brand new wheel bearing in it already too

I'd do ADS all around if my truck was my only project but I'm not made of money and I have lots of other frivolous BS to keep afloat so used King 14" adjustables in the rear and SAW fronts for me still haha. You bet your ass when I do the long travel in the front I'm going to get the ADS though, there are places to cheap out and when you're just cobbling together a mid-travel set up I think it's okay to buy just about anything and tune it to your liking. But if you're going out of your way to abuse things it's nice to know you've got a few parts that are really not going to let you down and having rebuilt a few sets of ads I can tell you they are way overbuilt and it's a pleasure.

Also this is going to sound like really stupid advice but make sure you're not putting the slug in upside down. Most setups have the snap ring on the top. I don't know what specific arms you're using so I'm not sure if yours are that way I'm just saying to double check before you go welding things into stuff

I've got no experience with hotshots or logistics brokers other than watching Casey Ladelle rant about them on his youtube channel, but that's been more than enough to convince me that you shouldn't go cheap on logistics.

Man what a mistake buying this thing. At least the manual wouldn’t have had the horrible shifting.

-absolutely gutless, yet horrible on fuel. My 1st Gen was better in both departments.
-5th and 6th gear are useless. Constant downshifting to maintain 65mph
-loud inside despite new quiet tires
    - shifting programming is dreadful
    -Toyota remote start is STUPID
    -poor visibility

Night and day difference! Didn’t realize how blown my FOAs were until I pulled them out… They had leaked out quite a bit. Ride is now tight and confidence inspiring!

Just need to fab up a more permanent solution for the resis, but this is solid enough for now.

Get 4.88 gears for the diffs... sounds dumb but you'll get torque and the double overdrive trans will still keep the rpms reasonable

@Speedytech7 That Proto Web / Win9x talk got me thinking about when I started using Linux and I'd buy the desktop suites at OfficeMax in the later 90s.
Red Hat 5 was one. I should've kept it all and stored it.

I looked up to my bookshelf and I still have Red Hat Linux 6 books. I may have the CDs somewhere.

Funny now to think about walking into a store and buying an OS. Especially Linux.

For sure! I remember when Corel (e.g., Corel Draw and Ventura) published a Linux distro.

@Speedytech7 odds a 3RZ with coolant in the oil is worth buying to rebuild?

Coolant in oil is a pretty sure sign of a head gasket, that mixture is less likely to occur from a cracked head at least... but many 3RZ will still have cracked heads. Can't lose for $250 though, that will give you a whole bottom end to rebuild at a minimum and that rebuild is pretty easy.

Cool. Could be a fun project, and less scary than cracking into the engine in my truck.
