What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I still prefer the styling of the one I have (below), but I'd be curious as to the price point for TEQ's offering.

 

Just finished designing a solution for the tiny cupholder and wasted space of the center console on the 2nd Gen Tacoma!

I often complained about the lack of places to put things like pens and keys, or large drinking containers like a Nalgene, Yeti, Stanley, etc. The stock center console is just a bad design!

After a few months of development and testing, I honed in on this design. It is held in place with four 1"x1" squares of 3M SJ3560 heavy duty hook-and-loop (

This has been a gamechanger for day to day use of the truck, and feels like a natural part of the interior. A large bottle like a Nalgene can sit in the cupholder and doesn't interfere with the gear shifter or opening the center console compartment.

Great! But seriously a work in progress. I just ordered a boost gauge, that will tell me if I have enough pressure and everything is nice a tight, no leaks. Once that is in the big improvement will be the tune, local tune guy wants me to break it in for a bit first. I'm rocking the included bullydog tune and its... okay. I'm sure a proper tune will really get it going.

New tire day! Picked up some Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 265/70/17. No substantial rubbing, but there is a little bit up front.

 

Morimoto 3rd brake light, pictures don’t do its justice on how bright they are during the day.
