Hey everyone. Just finished installing new lower control arms / bushings and welding in the marlin crawler gussets. I have the bison off-road alignment tabs. Any one with the bison off road tabs have pictures of the alignment tabs so I can get a starting point for an alignment thanks.

Best place to start would be as close to where the OEM cams were. If you don't remember just throw them in the middle and adjust your toe with a measuring tape so it’s good enough to get to the alignment shop.

It's too late in the season to use the block heater

These permit in-situ adjustment without needing to lift up the truck by the frame: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CGR6P4KK/

The quick and dirty way to adjust toe for short term use is to wrap a fishing line around the perimeter of the truck at all four tires at hub height. Adjust the tie rods until the tire sidewalls touch the line evenly.

I can’t get enough caster or camber. Wheels toed out like crazy. Tried every setting can get it close but don’t have enough threads on the inner tie rods. Fml. 3” lift

I’m just running dirt king uppers that have the caster built in. Have the taco cam delete from poly performance and things are decent.

If your running stock UCA’s you’ll never get your castor back into factory spec.
Just tell the shop to get as much castor as possible while getting everything else in spec.
I ran like that for a couple years and never noticed any adverse effects.

I would recommend bumping aftermarket UCA’s up the priority list though since the stock uca ball joint doesnt have enough range in movement.

its odd that you could run out of tie rod adjustment on both sides esp with oem control arms;. is it possible that the right and lefts are switched by accident somehow????? hard to do, but odder stuff could happen

I think I hopefully figured it out. Parts guys sent rwd ones instead of 4wd ones hopefully it’s the issue. The alignment was in factory spec before this ordeal. lol.

The rod ends ride in a sleeve that is reverse threaded on the outside. The sleeve acts like a turnbuckle. Turning the sleeve with the included spanner wrench causes the rod end to extend or retract. The sleeve is then locked down with the pinch bolts. This is basically a chineseium version of billet UCAs sold by AFE and Dobinson at twice the price.

all makes sense now. i was looking at the nut as a locknut and not a sleeve.
