What is it about the Deavers that make them better? I'm not at all surprised by that, but just curious as I don't have experience with them.

Stage 1. I carried virtually no weight because I like to go faster.

I ran a king 2 inch hydro bump with a ubolt flip.

I actually ran an archive 4.0 fabricated shackle, which may or may not have done a thing.

Never had to strap because the leafs limited the down travel, not the shocks.

It was a great setup and could handle weight better with the shocks clicked up, but I wanted to go fast and needed more uptravel as the rear would buck.

Could you please send it over through dm. And yeah there the epidemic of people looking for those instagram dimes and not getting to the penetrations which is the most important part.

Sweet, thanks for the info. And the pics of the setup, those are always fun. I'd guess stage 3 will probably limit travel a little more so I may also not need a strap, but the tabs will be welded on there anyways and straps are cheap if I need to do them down the road (no pun intended).

I'm into more lower speed more technical off-roading. Probably skipping the hydrobump as a result, a good timbren/durobump one should do the trick I'm hoping. Only concern is it's not adjustable like the threaded ADS or King ones, which with a 12" shouldn't matter as the leaf pack will limit uptravel I'd guess, especially for a stage 3 pack, but with a 14" if that's the end result I may need to revaluate the bump situation to prevent slamming the shock.

    I've checked out this kit:

    https://www.drt-fabrication.com/product/2005-2023-tacoma-bolt-on-bump-stop

to complement my other DRT stuff and solve my bump problem but $1k+ is a lot to justify over a $300 flip kit and rubber stop when that $$ could be going towards front setup or armor, etc. We shall see.

edit: Just found out Accutune has a bump kit with a variety of spacers so that could be an option to fine tune it with the shock it's protecting. Any thoughts?

I think your going spend 4k and be happy.

Or regret not linking it or long travel.

Think so? I mean the correct answer is bumping off of the upper arm with an engine cage, but the slapper bump seems like a really good solution to a shitty situation(being no engine cage and bumping off the lower arm).

I have a BTF 4.5 4WD race kit, and its cycling a hair over 15".

Ive got a triple bypass too, but I need to learn how to tune shocks.

Definitely true. Hoping for the former. Still use my truck outside of wheeling, and I'm on a college kid budget waiting tables on the side, so links or LT I might wish I'd done, but likely impossible until I'm graduated haha. If I regret it maybe one day I'll do the whole nine yards.

    Thanks for your help

I'm a pretty shitty welder but I've never had my junk come apart like that. Actually, I think I'm a pretty decent welder, just a horrible fabricator and a good gap welder.
