You seem oblivious the the difference between a federal act that is law versus a philosophy.
DEI isnt required by anybody for anything. Any organization can formulate their own internal policies as they please. Or not. No quotas. No guns held to any heads. No laws mandating it.

Since you don't get it either, here's a helpful article from a pro business magazine you may have heard of.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/terina...es-companies-more-profitable-and-competitive/

Since this is going off the rails based on someone else's post, I'm going to stop before I get permabanned again.

I'm here because I love aviation and civic service.

I'm waiting for expensive suspension parts to arrive so I can upgrade my plain vanilla TRDORDC and have some actual relevant Tacoma stuff to share, so meanwhile I post about my off topic interests. In this case, flying and camping with my RV-7. Fun that there's an aviation BS thread.

I think that has a lot to do with being able to choose an existing commercial airframe vs designing and developing a whole new airframe.

B-24 anyone? I was fortunate enough to be offered a jumpseat ride in this from Reno-Stead Airport to McCLellan Airport about 10 years ago. Not the greatest shot on the ground, was cool the have the B-17 off our left wing during the flight. Unfortunately the latter is no more.

Oh that's awesome. I think I remember the day they were flying around SAC. Is that the fortress that got hit by the P63 a couple years ago?

...^^^... I am not a big fan of Forbes Mag since the Chinese via "Integrated Whale Media Investments" still has a minority share (I think) after their last negotiated deal.

Personally, I think the Chinese are behind a lot of our problems in the USA .. ie ... climate change and other divisive internal issues (no politics here to get banned, just speaking from an academic and personal standpoint). I have lived and travelled, on and off, in SEAsia and around and in China and I understand them fairly well. They are very smart and are great long term thinkers and planners and are champions of gradually sewing "the seeds of division, deceit and destruction within a system" while still being your friend. :)

Just posting my personal thoughts ... no politics or personal jabs intended ...

PS ... Some of my best friends are Chinese too ... we just have different thought processes.

PPS ... Congrats on surviving the permaban and being reincarnated ... good to see your back.

...^^^... when we get back to the US, we are going to take our first "Space A" Available" flight to test the system and see how it works.

Just curious, if anyone here uses "Space A Available" for family travel ?? Many C-17's are used in Space A.

It’s great if you have plenty of time to get nowhere in particular. Not so good if you’re on a time constraint.
