    I like black licorice and the US stuff is shit...
    Those Nordic countries have some good licorice - and some totally o_O too
    I wound up liking some of the salty stuff but others were just too weird for me

    There were these weird chewy coin shaped ones that were salty but not crazy like you describe; just a little salty and not sweet - those were pretty good
