we had Mothers Against Drunk Driving come in for my high school. There was a girl in my class that was killed in a drunk driving accident. She was driving home from a friends house when the guy hit her. Pretty damn sad. I have also lost a close friend in a drunk driving accident. Going on those runs where a drunk has wrapped himself around a telephone pole or got ejected from the vehicle are definitely an ear opener! I am super protective of my car but I won't hesitate to leave it at a bar or where ever I may be and call a friend or cab to take me home.

Stay safe everyone! Don't be getting behind the wheel drunk!

Seriously! i would rather walk home then wrap the taco around a telephone pole and ruin my life and potentially the lives of others

Me personally, I took my first drink at 14. I think it's a good message.

why not? lots of people drink underage and they are affecting me and the people around me. not talking about it is what sends people the wrong message pittim.

I feel that if you think you are able to drink you should be able to understand the consequences of getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. Thats just me.

At 14 to 21, we are all indestructable. I have some dead friends whom, if they were alive would not agree. At that age MOST, and I say MOST kids will do stupid things. At that age I could drink, smoke take anything and be fine, and I was fortunate. I was lucky, because I made it home.

Take it from me. Going to a Funeral for a friend that is your age sucks. Your grandmother who is 89 years old is a different story. She had a full life. Your best friend that rolled his car on the interstate when he was 23 years old is not quite the same. Or the friend that gets shot because he sells drugs. Well that sucks too. I have grown up in my 37 years, but my list of friends is getting smaller. Just be smart and take it easy, for the rest of us.

tell me about it, i think if you can still balance on a skateboard or a bike then your not drunk enough to get a dui for riding one....

Too much to say on this topic... In short, if you drink, then you drive, you will lose.

Maybe not now, maybe not for years, but when your day of reckoning comes, should your actions have been the reason for anothers suffering, expect swift and harsh judgment. For the man that denies another of life or liberty, deserves nothing less than wrath equal to that which he inflicted upon another.

P.S. My opinion is that if you can only deprive yourself of life while 'driving' a 'vehicle' (re: skateboard), it should not be criminal...
