Maybe this is old standard, but was always under the assumption that any vehicles made past 6th month of the year is considered the next year. In my example my 2024 was built 11/2024. I thought it would be a 2025?

Pretty sure the manufactures decide each year when the new years models are made and it varies from year to year. No hard date.

It varies year by year. For instance. the LFA was all 2012 but technically made over two years.

1970 Ford GT350/500s were left over 1969s. All they did was add black stripes. They still had the dash ignition while all other 1970 Mustangs got a locking steering column with ignition.

2024 was a year like none other for Tacoma, with early delays and quality checking.

But compared to the first-year fiasco that was 2016, I appreciate getting a late ‘24 that’s well screwed together.
