Once you get used to a big tank its nearly impossible to go back.

Thank you for the info! I'll check out those companies + Topocut. If I end up getting the parts cut, I'll lyk what I go with.

Daryl's all wrapped up. A late night yesterday to get the 60 gallon tank in place, install longer diff breather, brake bleed/flush, and an alignment has it ready for 6 days in Utah.
The Carli kit is AMAZING. It makes a 10K truck handle better than my Tacoma and Ranger Combined. The harder to push it the smoother it gets.

No installed pictures but the new tank is 22" longer than the previous one. It's massive.

Not sure why I thought about this now, but...

Any concerns that the JBA UCAs might pull your front wheels back far enough that you have clearance problems with the cab mount/firewall?

The JBAs don't pull a ton of caster from what we have found at our shop. They are a very middle of the road control arm. I'm also at the point that if I need to do the pinch weld I am willing to. I plan to drop back to a 33 or a 255 at some point once I destroy these Toyo's.

I'm curious to see how they fit. I like the JBA design but I'm wary of "high-caster" arms--I try to keep my suspension geo close to stock in order to keep everything simple.

You're out of love with the 34s already?

Not with the size, simply I just like changing tires and trying different ones. The AT3 are a great tire but seem to have issues on lighter weight rigs, they are great on heavy trucks but on Burt I want something a touch more aggressive. But the 34x10.50 only has two options AT3 and KO2 and I am not going to run KO2s. So switching to the 255/80 sizing offers a lot more options and more aggressive patterns as well. I wont go quite as crazy as the MTZ but something like the RT Trails or Yoko AT X/D will fit the truck better.

Doesn't Nitto have a 34x10.5? Eh that might be an MT actually

I've never heard of "small truck problems" with AT3, what's the story there?

I have them in a 245/75r16 SL and they've been "fine". I have been disappointed with their ability to move the truck in 2WD on snow, but it's a lightweight truck so I'm not sure any other tire would be much better

Not that I know of, maybe a metric equivaled. Technically the Toyo is the only one left I can find, my suppliers show the KO2 as discontinued on limited stock.

On my Ranger and Burt as well as a set I put on a buddies fairly stock 3rd gen all have pretty back chunking issues, and cracking between tread blocks. However we use a lot of them on 9-11,000 trucks we build and haven't seen any get chunked out on similar roads. Might be less wheel spin due to weight, however a majority of these trucks are 1000+ft/lb diesels. The AT3 is a good snow tire and I have no complaints with it there. Just durability. I have around 15k on mine and they haven't exactly taken it in strides. Meanwhile the Coopers on my Super Duty show zero chunking after a trip through Utah that caused a fair amount to the Toyos on my Ranger.
9500lbs and a TON of torque usually results in chunking when doing 3-400 miles of dirt in my experience.

Interesting. I'm not running trails like that, so no surprise that I haven't run into that problem.

I saw your comments KO2, are KO3 of any interest to you?

I will clear that I think the KO2 is a good tire, my dislike comes from the terrible quality control I see on them. We do 37s weekly here. Typically the AT Falken and Toyo require 2-5oz of weight to balance, RT tires require 3-6, MTs take 4-8 typically. Sometimes more sometimes less. Most of the BFGs, KM3 and KO2 typically take 10+ oz to balance, even after spinning the tire 180° on the wheel we still see high weight requirements. On KO2s I have seen a good amount being out of round, even to the point its noticable on these heavy trucks and shaking of vibrating. Swapping tires to pretty much any other brand solves the issue.
On the KO3 I have heard reports from friends at other shops they are better, requiring less weight to balance, and being a lot smoother. There are some that will come through and I want to see first hand if that true. But until I see a few sets without issues, its hard to run them myself of recommend them to customers. Plus KO2s run small, very small, 37x12.50s often measuring at or below 35.5". While no tire is actually as tall as it says, Falkens come damn close at 36.2-36.6" tall most of the time.

Good to know, thanks for entertaining my questions.

Discount Tire shows a 33x10.5r15 KO3 coming in Feb 2026. C-load, claimed diameter 32.5, claimed weight 46lbs, looks real nice on paper for a little truck and kinda makes me wish I hadn't sold my original 15" rims.

33 1050 15s have a lot more available. 17s struggle in that size.

Also had a set of toyo at3s on my 2nd Gen and they lasted 4k miles before I had belts slip... Was a massive pain to get them to take that junk back tbh..

Lots of options in 33 1250, but I don't see as many in 1050, and most of what I see are M/T.

The KO2 is the only other A/T I see in 33 1050 15 size (looking at Discount Tire, SimpleTire, and Les Schwab). The KO3 is advertised as 5lbs/tire lighter, which is very appealing to me.

    Am I overlooking good options?
