Damn, I missed a lot taking a week break from reading this thread. Y'all went nuclear on a whole company in the span of 5 min worth of reading... I should take breaks more often.

No need for that, just trying to establish unemotional facts and look at the situation with logic / clarify what the actual problem was. I do remember you stating something to the effect of your failure being caused by " stuffing a 37 into a rut or a corner ? at 60 mph " ? that gon’ break shit…

Not saying you didn't receive a bad part, shit happens, all I'm saying is that it is highly likely that from a shop of that caliber you have experienced an isolated issue. For someone so educated and experienced in welding i can’t help wonder why you keep using the “ tac n go “ terminology when that visual look is clearly indicative of pulse welding and the cold weld can easily be caused by ie: an inverter welder having probs…which has been a super common problem for a lot of shops.

The thing is bro that nobody else has experienced all of the stuff that you have, fitment, geometry, failure etc with your JD parts...or more importantly the customer service issues...and there is a whole lot of it out there being driven hard year round vs your short season in the arctic circle...you are experiencing isolated issues but you keep making generalized statements.

Pure logic tends to lean someone away from generalized assumptions about a shop with a seriously solid 25 year rep for building solid stuff racing etc. You are just one of 100's of customers so if these issues were wide spread wouldn't logic dictate that we would be hearing more than just you talking about this stuff ?

You're always going to have your version of events in regard to customer service from JD and myself and a few others locally are always going to have ours based upon first hand conversations. I'm just the only one stupid enough to waste my time arguing with you. I would encourage anyone else to speak directly to the team at JD if they have questions about this scenario.

There seems to be a real difference of opinion about who / if you actually spoke to about all of your problems originally and the reason those people are now so pissed off at you is that you didn't speak to the right people, never gave the right people the opportunity to hear /see your issues and repeatedly jumped to flaming them again on this forum, socials and now Youtube as well...and again a year later when it starts bugging you again - again you didn't pick up the phone and try to talk to them, again - you just rage typed on your keyboard...and again I'm not the only one with first hand knowledge of the other side of this conversation...and even though they are so pissed off at you they are still offering you a full refund...you understand how that sounds vs what you are conveying ?

I'll just say this, I've been pounding on my slide rack for a few years now ( as many others have ) with zero incidents and without meaning this as a jab - we drive ours over way gnarly stuff than I have ever seen you post, again not a jab it's just the terrain we have readily available out here in our OHV areas. In addition, recently we put my tire against a jersey barrier and cranked the wheel to look for deflection in the rack or clevis and nothing got weird - clevis's look fine, didn't tweak etc rack is still smooth as butta'. I've driven mine hard enough to destroy two sets of wheels bearings, EMF's, I think I'm on my third set of inner cv boots, blew out the alignment a couple times ( build was not done so I had not yet drilled out the cam locks and bolted them yet ) and not one issue with the slide rack...or the OE rack the slide rack is supporting ?

RE: your comment about still tagging JD on your social posts and you having one of the nicest tacos around bro come on that is soooo ego self serving, you have rage typed totally bashed literally every single JD product that you own so why in the world would anyone in that situation tag that co in posts if they weren't just looking for more ego points ? that just sounds bipolar dude. Do you have any vague understanding of how mid-fi common your truck is and how many fully built, fully caged, linked etc trucks are out there & are not on this forum, not on socials etc ?

Here’s the deal. I’m done with you trying to prove I did something wrong. So here’s how this is gonna go.

I’m done being made to look like I can’t possibly be right.

My arms are being handed off to a 3rd party for real life weld inspection in the most thorough way on the planet. When those results come back I’ll be sure to post all of it. Because I’m about 90% sure on what I’m going to hear back.

See, I wasn’t actually going to post that stuff. Because truly. I don’t want to do more harm than needed. But after Jesse today, and now you. I’m done being made to look like the bad guy.

    @Evenflow

Let it be known. This is actually costing me money to do all of this. But I am doing it because I actually give a shit about the safety of others. People deserve to know.

The way Jesse talked today, he’s just happy to replace parts when they fail to prevent a lawsuit for his own self. But, that luck is eventually going to run out. And someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed.

A part like I’ve been showing, should have never even had the potential to be made in that shop. Ever.

Hell, I broke a BOXED piece today with a 16oz rubber dead blow.

The fact that Jesse, or yourself or anybody can shrug that off is absolutely outrageous to me.

This is absolutely Tack and go welding. I brought this up when it was first mentioned in the other thread years ago only to get shit on then so stepped away. I have no skin in the game. I have been welding in manufacturing of all sorts for going on 30 years and those welds look cool on IG but are crap in the real world. See all those little craters in each section? That is a cooling crater. There is no way to get that other than trigger on, trigger off, move, repeat. It has nothing to do with pulse welding. Pulse welding is a welding process not a welding style. @906taco knows what he is talking about and I applaud him for having the balls to speak up.

Just my 2 cents.....I was the first person to install a Jdfab slide rack outside of their shop. That was 4 years ago this month. It has been perfection since day 1. Anyone that knows me knows that I flog the shit out of my truck. On a few occasions I have taken some hits that if I didnt have the JD fab LCA pivot kit and the slide rack my suspension would still be sitting out in the desert somewhere. I've had the slide rack diassembled numerous times over the last 4 years and there is 0 show of wear on the internal bushings the slide itself and the tie rod end pieces. Recently I Installed a LSK race kit and was able to adapt the slide rack end pieces to work with 7/8 rod ends. The slide rack is still performing perfectly. Just did a visual inspection today and nothing can be seen to be bent, deformed or cracked. That said, next week I planned on doing a PS steering fluid change so i'll be taking those pieces off and having them inspected by a world class multi billion dollar companies NDT team. I'll let you know the resuilts when its done.
And just to touch on what @Evenflow said. There are events out here in the Socal deserts that have so many fully built tacomas that are not on any social media. Crazy good builds that have things done to them that @906taco claims to be the first in the world to ever do. You are not the first swing steer setup to keep the AC. I saw one at the lasertown preunnerfest last year in Johnson Valley...dude was from Arizona and has had the truck for a few years with that steering. I never said anything just so you could keep living in your egotistical world that you apparently don't think you live in.

Im glad you’ve never had a failure. Hell I’m glad I seem to be the only one. But I’m simply posting factual evidence of extremely poor workmanship from an allegedly reputable shop.

But I will say, I received pictures of a cracked JD control arm yesterday. But they don’t want their name drug into it. I question how many have actually just called jd, got a new arm and went on their way. Because no biggy, right? If it weren’t for respecting the wishes of said person I would have the picture posted.

The fact that Jesse flat out wouldn’t even let me speak today, speaks volumes to his character when it comes to potentially messing up. It’s not hard to own it.

Simple fact, I don’t plan to stop until it’s owned. He lied to me today, and I’m 1,000% not cool with that.

As someone who has installed the catalog of Tacoma parts from JD fab on customers trucks, I will NEVER touch another one of their products. Every product did not fit, parts were welded backwards (left bracket welded to right bracket). So no he is no the who one who has had issues.
