Depends on the chemical makeup of the powder. Some don’t give a shit others dull out instantly. Best to not use brake clean. I always recommend isopropyl alcohol.

And that's fair enough. I wasn't part of the conversation and don't know what was said. I just wanted to try and give some context on where Jesse's head might be at, given that he isn't on these forums and can't get his side of things out there.

the RXTs are short so you’ll be maxed at about 12” of travel. I don’t remember the leaf thickness off the top of my head but it’s probably around 2.5-3” thick depending what stage you’re running. I would go with a Duro bumps u bolt flip & standard bumps. I like using our custom 13” ADS smoothies because it allows you to get a full 12” of shock stroke; bumped and strapped. The compressed length is shorter than standard 12” shocks because of the welded eyelet. Keeps the shock mount above axle center line. They’re available on the site. Shocks and bump stop work together so you should cycle it to make sure everything’s happy.

I fucked up the powder on my 454 bumper with brake clean. I was mortified. Didn’t know that some powders weren’t kosher with brake clean

The more I know haha. I honestly never thought about brake cleaner being bad for powder, but I'll surely never forget that

I always, always tell my customers, if you wouldn’t put it on the paint of your vehicle don’t put it on powder.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve re done parts guys have messed up with heavy degreasers or brake clean. First time fuck ups are free in good faith. Second time, you get to pay.

I took it down. Mainly trying to give some privacy to the situation.

General run down. Is he admitted my parts were bad. But that’s where it ended.

I asked questions and pointed things out. But apparently I was an asshole with how I worded things, according to the defenders.

That’s totally fine. I’ll share it with anyone that wants to see it.

See, the issue is. People will take words on a website any way they choose depending on their stance of the situation. At this point, I’m going to carry on with my life. Continue doing my thing and that’s that.

People saw what they needed to see. They can make a decision for themselves based off of that.

Is it just me or are mini cooper drivers all nucking futs? Don’t see them all the time, but it’s beginning to be statistically likely when I see them that they will cut me off, road rage, and proceed to brake check me. One of these days they’re gonna get totaled if they cause an accident, because my truck will either go through or over them haha. :anonymous:

Will say the only road rage I’ve ever had directed at me was from a Mini.
Flashed high beams, would t let me merge off the fwy, followed my off another exit until I duped him by faking a turn.
Still have no clue what I did till this day, even after reviewing my dash cam footage.

Lucky for me he had a rare brown color and a custom plate, I found him a few cities over a month later. Looked like a dweeb.

However my girlfriend also drives a mini. Whenever we’re in her car or I’m driving, other SUV’s often do not see the car due to the size difference. It’s bright blue too.

    edit, just for fun:

Good friend of mine had a mini several years ago. Said it was a fun car minus everyone trying to kill you every time you drove. So apparently, similar situation to motorcycles. People just don’t see them.

About right here in SoCal with the traffic.
They are fun to drive though, especially the stick turbo ones. Cars that small are so light and nimble

His was supercharged. He did a bunch with it, pulley, meth etc. it was an absolute riot on the street even though I don’t think it made a ton of power. I just remember how small you felt even next to normal cars.

Wish I had done a ride along when he did auto x with it.
