Kids I tell you… , kid wanted to help so I had him carry the spark plug I just bought, told him not to open it and just carry it. 10 seconds later he opens it and drops it right on the end closing the gap :annoyed:

Well gang, the day has finally come around.

I finally get to coach my first MSF beginners course this weekend!! I’m beyond excited for this to actually be a reality.

I can see gravel in my driveway again - only another month out two more until bikes can come out of the garage.

    Nice!

After you get some time on it, post your thoughts. I’ve been on and off eyeballing it.

IMG_5162.jpg IMG_5153.jpg Today’s progresss, lined the interior with sheet metal. Took what I needed from the old oven. Installed the oven elements and a hanger bar to hang parts from. Installed wheels.
I need to make a trip to Ace and get some connectors to lengthen the power and element wires. I will use the oven control panel and cut it down, close off the ends with metal and mount it to the right side of the oven. Once the wiring is done I can insulate the and sheet the exterior. Then it will be onto the door project.
I saved the oven door glass and the exterior part of the door. I will come up with a plan to use the glass and frame to make a small door within the large door. That way I can see in and the open the smaller door to use the heat gun to check the temp on the parts being coated. I also need to come up with a light. The old oven didn’t have one to rob.

    what's worse?

pulling the muscle in your lower back where you can't get out of bed or bend down to pick something up? Or pulling a muscle in your neck where you can't turn more than a little bit in one or either direction?

my vote is the latter personally

Both suck. Last time I did a double whammy. Was doing a windshield on a school bus. Gasket windshield was pulling on the gasket misplaced my step foot slipped off the turbo cleared the radiator fell through the grill of the hood and slammed on to the pavement. Took about a half hour till someone finally came out to see me knocked clean out on the ground. That one sucked.

last bad one I was working on a scaffold that was 4’8” off the ground. Stepped back with arms in the air to sight a ceiling I was working on to no scaffold and hit the ground. Broke 4 ribs, right wrist and a concussion. That was rough for being 50 at the time.

I know that feeling of trying to grab on to air when your falling. I've unfortunately have had some serious injuries in my younger years. Im not that old but I beat myself pretty good than. I'm definitely feeling it now. I also been hit twice on the motorcycle and once while walking home was a hit and run we never did find who hit me.
Both times I was hit on the motorcycle it was stopped at a red light. First time was in 06 lady hit me so hard my helmet cracked split 3 ways bounced off of her hood.
