Power tailgate accidentally opening with key FOB in pocket? Simple fix…

    I still don’t see the issue. I mean most cars in the last 10 years have the button on the keyfob to open the trunk or hatch just like the 4th gen tail gate. How many of them are crying about accidentally opening them? Probably not that many.

    Well, let's see. If you back up into a garage, 2 feet from the door or wall, and while the key FOB is in your pocket, it smashes up against other things on your keyring or things in your pocket and next thing you know, your tailgate is coming down (or going up depending on what position it was in) into a wall, or if it starts going up, the items on your tailgate suddenly fall either into the bed or off your tailgate onto the ground. Apparently there are other people on this feed who have experienced the same thing....so just realize that your world / experience isn't the same as everyone else's...and nobody is "crying", as you claim. The post is simply an informative post for others who have. That's what this forum is for. Not to be a drama queen and start arguments. If it doesn't affect you, move on.
