    Hey @lynyrd3

Have you noticed the recent increase in reports of black bear attacks in PA?
They're being reported more often lately, but really, it's always been more common than the Game Commission will admit.
It's in the nature of things that country folk are less prone to report stuff than day hikers from a city.
Explaining to the Game Commission why you shot a bear is a big fat pain in the ass

Black bears will often bluff charge, but sometimes they ain't bluffing.
If they follow through, they probably mean to eat you.
As opposed to Grizzly bears out west, who might or might not.

I've noticed that people who trust their lives to bear spray (as opposed to a handgun) are the ones getting eaten...
... like that wildlife biologist recently in Alaska.

The bear in this video was just a youngster, but it's a rare instance of an attack captured on video:

Means they are over populated. Rarely would you see a bear in close proximatey to you in idaho. Unless there was bait station nearby. Most would run from you.

Also i read somewhere they are the next most abundant game animal in north America

I wonder if its overpopulation of bears or people. We move closer and closer to their shit.
