I get recurring sciatica and the worst for me is dragging the bike in and out of its storage spot (when its snowing out I like to park against the bike in the garage)

I've learned to stretch and warm up first.

    Getting old sucks.

Pulled my bike out last weekend and got it ready for riding and ran into a leaking valve stem. Picked a new some tools after work. Hopefully not a big pain.

It's been 6ish months since my surgeries. Today was the first day I was able to push my bike backwards while sitting on it without even feeling it in my ankle :bananadance:

Just got back from an 80-90 mile scoot. Nothing but rural country roads. Nothing worth stopping and taking a pic of, other than a piss stop near the tracks.

The object in the image is identified as a Romec RA-1907 hand-type fuel pump, specifically a "MEL CEN ADJUSTAB" model manufactured in 1949. It is designed to transfer fuel in liquid-fueled engines

Jealous of you all with the space and tools and a bit more bike tool setup. I’ve only got some auto stuff. Tried to see if my valves stems could be saved but nope, front is about done too. These are like two years old. Going to tow into a shop in the near future. Need to source a ramp for the truck.

Out running errands today in the truck. Getting gas and I hear a reaaaly slow cranking something that won't start. Look over and it's an older gentleman and his wife visibly frustrated at a non starting BMW 1250RT that they just fueled up. I walk over and go hey, I'll help you get that thing bumped or jump started just let me finish pumping gas. A person who saw this interaction actually thanked me for stepping up to help.

We move over out of the way and get to trying things.

That big 1250 boxer twin was locking up the rear tire even in 5th while being pushed on the flat... Bump starting on the flat was not an option....I also realized how out of shape I am running while pushing it haha

Ok time to jump, I have a NOCO GB40 in my truck for just such an occasion, go to pull the cover off to access the battery.... Fuggin torx headed bolt, the one thing I don't have in my trucks tool bag.

Tell them, Harbor freight is 3 min away let me go get some torx bits and I'll be right back, "you sure? We don't want to waste your time". Absolutely not a problem for me I'm flexible today. You guys go relax in the shade I'll be back shortly.

Grab a set of bits for my truck kit and a folding torx wrench set: One of these

    Screenshot_20250329_171429_Brave.jpg

Show back up about 15 min later. Pop the side cover off and BMW has it setup very nice with a positive lug you can clamp to (as the positive of the batt is buried) then the negative of the battery. Bike fired right up, couple was SUPER appreciative and offered to throw me some money for my time and tools which I didn't accept told them pass it along to someone who you can help on the road in the future. I handed the gentleman the folding torx set and said "keep this in your box for the next time". He laughed n shook my hand, wife gave me a hug and both of them expressed they were extremely happy n appreciative a "young person" (I don't feel young at 35) took the time to help them.

Needless to say I'm really glad the series of events that occured today allowed me to help like I did, it's wild to think if I had done my errands in reverse or took extra or less time at one location that I might not of crossed paths.

Also managed to wash and doll up the RM85 and Apollo 110 pit bike to take pictures to sell them hopefully sooner than later.... 5 bikes in a single car garage is TIGHT.

If the wifes car wasnt in my garage id have a lot more room (for more bikes). Picture makes it look like theres more room than really is.

I did 5 in a single car garage PLUS my wife's jeep renegade

Grom, Navi, CT90, CB750, F800GS, now THAT was tight. Still was able to get one of the bikes in and out with the car in there for my commute. Did 3 bikes along the one side against the wall, two at the front of the car, and then the other side of the garage was my workbench, beer fridge, tool chest, and storage shelves.

Also at that house, at one point, did the 3 bikes along the side plus a couch at the front. That was the life. I miss my garage couch :pout:

Sounds like the wife's car needs to live outside of the garage hahahaha

That is a BIG single car garage. Looks like a 10ft opening with 2+ft on each side on the inside and decently deep... I'm working with an 8ft opening, and 1.5ft extra width on ONE side once in the garage with probably 2ft less depth as that and a water heater/Central heating unit in the garage.
