That's impressive. I think I finally got the motivation to start organizing my garage from this storm scare. And also my pollen covered truck needs to have a garage space again. About half of it will be getting rid of things, and the other half will be organizing what's left.

Wife and I talked and we may try and clean up that side of the garage a bit to park the car in there during the winters. won't have to remote start it or scrape the windows anymore. Motos were parked in the garage all winter, but they can go in the back shed since we won't be using them regularly. Can swap them back during the summer and car can live outside. It really did get us thinking of better ways to do stuff. We'll also be selling my weight set and just getting a smaller regular bench since we seldom need the tower and crap. Also getting rid of that dumbass big round chair that takes up like 30 square feet, hahaha.

My biggest thing is an aluminum boat that I haven't used since the kids were young (17 and 19 now) - it takes up a whole garage bay. The middle garage bay is always kept clear for the wife's car. She made it very clear that parking outside isn't an option, especially in winter. The shed is its own issue that also needs help.

Y'all silly AF. We're not getting golfball sized hail and tornadoes here. Rainier will explode before that happens

Was super cheap insurance. 5-10% chance of 2 inch hail made it worth the hour of my time. Breaking my camper skylight woulda been a grand to deal with, and a lot more than an hour of time. Even if it was 1 in 1000, you'd be pretty pissed at yourself if you walked out front and saw you had a busted windshield and a soaked interior, while your neighbors just had wet cardboard and rugs on their cars.

If there was a 99% chance of basketball hail and e6 tornadoes I’d be driving my truck right in to the direct line of fire of that shit.

Insurance can pay me out an absurd amount of money for it and I’ll drive my 92. Sell high, buy low?

Just gained an instant 25% premium on payout today. All the more reason.

I wouldn’t rush to the dealer tomorrow. I’d take the money, invest it, make a cool 10%+ compounding profit for the next 4 years then think about buying.

    Oooor.

Drop a brand new crate 327 in the 92 and invest the rest. Or turbo that bitch. Then invest the rest.

I pulled my truck into my shop and used the weather threat as an excuse to crack a beer and finally put that TRD pro exhaust takeoff on / do a bunch of maintenance after a 4500 Utah roadtrip this month. So yeah I had a good evening.

I need a new windshield, lots of chips that have been fixed, not cracked, so not a priority. But it looks terrible, would finally be the excuse I needed to replace it

Funny, I just lost power at my place, it's barely raining. Where's the tornados?? I grew up in the Midwest, knew people who's towns/homes were wrecked by tornadoes. We're very lucky out here, as much as we bitch about all the rain, we don't have to put up with much

My house in Kansas got leveled in 2008, the entire subdivision too. It's definitely better to over prepare than to be caught unprepared.

My wife really wants to move somewhere else. Mainly so we're more centrally located in the US, not cause of the weather. I get that, and don't see it as the worst idea, but we have such mild weather here. No crazy humidity, high or low temps, no tornadoes, hardly any thunderstorms, no serious snow... It may rain more than folks like, but that's about it. It doesn't even rain HARD, lol.
