First broken Toyota part. Should probably start planning for some bigger diffs…IMG_8301.jpg

After 6 months of these parts sitting on the shelf, decided to install the new rear brake set up. May need to reroute the lines or try to find a fitting to turn it 90°, it’s very vulnerable.. but brakes seem to feel better.

2wd pickup calipers, slip on Tacoma front rotors, brackets a buddy drew up for his truck. Had to turn down the shafts a bit to slip the rotors on

That's not bad for a double cab on 40's! What diffs do you think you'll go to?

It’s a real toss up. 609 makes the most sense, but superduty stuff is so readily available. I’m not super interested in retubing a d60 housing either.. and going to a LP KP60 passenger drop doesn’t seem worth the work.

The passenger output Toyota case is kind of annoying here. To adapt it back to driver output with a 4.7 case would cost nearly as much as an atlas..

Really not getting the good feels about those rear brake lines hanging so low. I could build little guards for them but that’s where I put my axle straps. So. Ordered up some inverted flare to -3an fittings and I’m going to convert it to stainless braided lines with some 90° fittings. Those will be in tomorrow, so I’ll swap those out and see how it all looks. Will report back.

I don’t think so. I ordered some of these, so they should work, and have better clearance. If I have to I’ll run another 90° fitting.

Swapped it out with some -3 fittings and stainless braided lines. It’s still a little vulnerable, but I feel much better about it.

Gravity bled them but need to get them bled better. Pressure bleeding is tricky with the master cylinders on these, not having a thread on cap. IMG_8643.jpg

    Looks better.

This is the front of my 5 lug Tacoma. If it ever becomes an issue. Looks like the caliper pattern would be the same. The banjo flex line might just bolt up to your caliper as is. IMG_6693.jpg

This one is an m10x1 inverted flare which makes it harder. I could’ve done a short hard line as well

Solo trip this week. Truck worked good, brakes feel great. Didn’t go super far being solo and having a late start. Gotta hit it hard the next couple weeks. IMG_8756.jpg IMG_8763.jpg IMG_8765.jpg
