Hey all, I want to wire a light on each side of my 2022 Tacoma so that when I open the door that light comes on so for example when I open my driver side door, the new drivers side light comes on and when it shuts it turns off.

Where's the wire that controls the cab lights to do this?

    Thanks !

Thank you for the reply. I don't really understand the wiring diagram maybe because I've never seen one but thank you. Theres not a way to use a fuse tap is there?

Yes, you'll need one to apply fused power to added lamps. The door switch is to activate the added lamps via ground.

Fuse tap (hot, not Accessory or Ignition source). to added lamp then ground wire to door switch.

If you need to find the wires, just shoot a hole in your roof. Bullets have a way of finding the wires and splicing them for you.

    Sliding roof circuit for positive.
Ground wire to door switch, you'll need to remove bolt that holds switch. Then fish the added lamp wire from sill to door frame.

Or Identify M6 connector (to Main Body ECU) and tap wires 6 & 27.

If you don't know the amps of the added lamps, I'd place a relay in the added circuit.
