    All,

I'm looking to upgrade the stock system in my truck. I've got the Alpine CDA-9886 and I'm looking at the following additional components:

    Amp:
    Alpine Alpine MRP-F600 4-Channel
    100 Watts x 4 @ 4 Ohm
    150 Watts x 4 @ 2 Ohm
    300 Watts x 2 Bridged Output @ 4 Ohm

    Component Speakers:
    Alpine SPX-17REF 6-1/2"
75 Watts RMS, 4 ohm impedance

    Sub:
Alpine Type S SWS-1023D 10" Dual 2 ohm Voice Coils
    150w/coil

Being a total newb, would it make sense to wire the component speakers to the first two channels on the amp and then each voice coil in the sub to the remaining two channels? If I wire it in this fashion, will I require any additional hardware between the amp and the sub?
Also, in an extended cab 2004, will I miss the back speakers or should the components in the front be plenty? If this seems like a totally stupid setup, let me know your suggestions.
Oh, and should I be looking at professional install, or is this something I could figure out with some manuals and the right tools?
Thanks for the read, sorry for all the questions.

Bridge the rear channels of the amp and then wire the sub in series for a 4 ohm load. If you need help with it pm me.

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.

I concur, this is the correct answer.
