Mainly for looks, thinking about putting some scene lights on it later. Got a great deal so I thought I would try it out.

Whenever I see this foam used in places that get extremely hot, like a dashboard or other places in a vehicle interior, I picture the foam breaking down and turning to powder.

    This and that
    Like inside the door panel.

That stuff that you look at and it turns to dust and disappears.

Nah, or at least I'm pretty sure, it is UV that fairly quickly turns it to dust. Heat may eventually, but talking 10+ years. The glue, on the other hand, can dry up from heat, but used where it is pinched in place; is probably not an issue.

I’ve seen a bunch of ‘24 owners selling theirs and was wondering about getting one of their take-offs for my ‘23. Thanks for the fit update.

@TacoTime55 Where did you get the kit and how much to install it if you don't mind me asking? I was looking into getting this done to my taco as well.

I hear you. My grandson is getting ready to take his driver’s test and we are working on parallel parking. Where we live, it’s just about a useless task.

    Good morning MrMustacho!

I bought mine from the dealership...just the shocks, 1" blocks for the leaf springs, u-bolts and brackets for the brake lines.

It's part of the TRD Lift Kit but since I bought an aftermarket grill, I just needed the shocks.

I'm also having the dealership do the install...on April 1st (this Tue) as a matter of fact...I'm excited!

I paid for the parts separately which included military discount.

Also worked with the Service Manager for Labor charges...which also includes military discount.

Post #312 shows the parts I ordered/paid for and pricing.

My orbital buffer came with a foam pad that you put the type of bonnet (terry cloth, microfiber etc) over and acts as a backer. I keep the buffer in my garage that get hot in the summer albeit out of the sunlight. Every 3 or 4 years I have to replace it because it falls apart. I had some foam tape that is used to mount truck caps that did the same thing. This is what I’m basing my comment on.

Anyway, I just killed another rattle that was bugging the bleep out of me. I think it was the sos call switch, I rattled it by finger quite easily. Extra added for certainty. It was quite annoying.

    Snapped back in, gudentite.

I never liked the amber look for the fogs, I get the light cuts better through rain/snow but I went with the same and like it.

Yea I prefer the look of all white. I get the yellow is better for inclement weather, but if weather is bad I’m not out in it. These are mainly to help see deer on dark, curvy backroads.

Just had these at4w thrown on. LT. The ride is smooth and was rubbing on mudflaps with 1.25 inch spacers and Bilstein 5100 at 1.55 with 1/4inch strut mount spacers on top of each side. (Around 2 inch front lift maybe more) 1 inch block in the back. Stock UCA. Still need to have my OME UCA installed and will throw the stock mudflaps back on or throw some rokblok mudflaps if anything. Not close to the cab mount or the fender liner up front at all.

Bought some deck planks and marble, and joist hangers to create a ramp to shed. 1.5" lip is better than 6"-before ramp... Used leftovers 2x4 from a 6x8' fence panels I cut down to 4'.

    48"x48" Ramp.

I'm getting an idea of truck height looking at your suspension.

I'm getting TRD Suspension kit this Tue, which will give the front 2" and 1" in the rear with provided blocks. (I believe the shocks are Bilstein 5100s)

    You get rubbing on mudflaps?

I've got Bushwacker fender flares so no mudflaps on my Sport.
