Joe Joe claims he can get OEM Toyota parts cheaper than dealers.

He goes into every Toyota group and pimps out his services.

He scams people a lot of the times but still somehow has a devout fanboy following that defends him in all the threads.

I don’t know all the full details but he ended up getting a lot of these FB groups shut down after members start posting how they were scammed.

Last week a guy was scammed out of $2600 for a motor.

This week (the link above) is someone posting the guy’s real name/profile, mugshot, criminal record and his connection to Toyota parts through and shady under the table deal with another guy in the parts dept of a Toyota dealership.

And now they’re trying to get the IRS involved because he only accepts PayPal Friends&Family which means he doesn’t pay taxes on it.

The only interaction I ever had with him was another member posted in a group that he’s getting screwed by Joe Joe waiting on a timing belt kit for his 3.4.

I just posted something to the effect of, “if you paid by credit card, raise a dispute and get your money back then order from Aircabinman off eBay.”

Joe Joe started chirping at me and said that Aircabinman sells counterfeit Toyota parts. I didn’t respond.

But that’s his MO about reputable parts from some other outlet: “those are counterfeit. Good luck with the shit quality you just installed on your truck!”

I'm looking for someone who can weld aluminum to weld an air temp sensor bung on an intake pipe. I will pay you for your time.

Not sure if anyone already answered this, but it's not that hard.

Been a few years since I did it, but I think I just made an appointment with highway patrol for the inspection. They say to bring receipts for the materials used to build it, but they never looked at them at my appointment. The officer who did my inspection just walked around the trailer in the parking lot and signed the form that I took to the DMV to get it titled. Didn't even check if the lights worked, he looked at it for 30 seconds. I'm guessing it was obvious that it was home made so he didn't look closely for any VIN numbers, but another purpose of the inspection is to snuff out if you stole the trailer and are trying to re-title it as home made.

If you're gonna buy this thing off a guy before it's titled, try and get his receipts, or photos of the build process in case they press you on where it came from.

I dragged my feet debating if this was a good idea or not and the trailer sold. Someone got a sweet raft trailer at a good price! I appreciate the response should I find myself in this situation again.

Picked up a gently used Fitcamx Front and Rear dash cam for the Tacoma. Had a whale of time installing the front cam on Saturday. But managed to getter done; front cam only 4 now. I'll wait for better weather to install the rear. But honestly, not really looking forward to that task.

Anywho, today was the first day driving with the cam recording my lovely drive to & from work. It did not take long for me to realize that recording the sound within the cab was a bad idea though - U &%#$% it's a continuous lane. But for the most part the drives were uneventful - 4 once.

The main issues observed when playing back the videos was the sun glare coming off the white hood and the not so pleasant vocals from the driver (me) accompanying 99.5's playlists. Now a polarized lens may solve the glare issue. But there is no helping the bad vocals; maybe more talk radio instead.

    Happy Trails.

Drawbacks of recording in-cab audio are obvious and expected, but the upside is that if something does happen, you can verbalize what you see--a license plate number, identifying characteristics of a driver or vehicle, description of something happen outside of the camera's field of view--for later use as evidence.

Just like having a camera recording in the first place, you get the joy of balancing the risk of your own embarrassment against the potential reward of holding someone else accountable for their bad behavior.
