I gotta give this a try. I used a zip tie but that only helped a little bit

A little OTT remote tuning session.

Edit: I can see why OTT is absolutely GOAT'D. My Taco now has some serious pull! And my LTFT has been returned to normal which is nice.

Finally knocked out installing the skid plate I picked up from @easleycrawler a couple of months ago. Nice little project to put dad to work to help me but a lift sure would have helped. Also had the perfect size Amazon box to hold the back up and keep from scratching the bottom edge

Replaced front axles and ECGS Bushing swap. The bearing that bushing replaced was beyond its life. The outer race crushed as it was being removed. Only lost about 2 oz of oil in the process. Next up change fluids in both diffs and transfer case.

How bad was the noise before you replaced that bearing? I didn't have a ton of wear on my needle bearing when I replaced it, but had a pretty good hum while driving.

It was noticeable, but there was more of a vibration that I noticed similar to a wheel bearing going out but at a lower frequency. I did the wheel bearings on both sides a couple months ago.

Yesterday was new calipers and Spyker hoodbstruts for the DD. This morning I pulled the passenger side rear seat bottom and the under seat storage bin so I can start laying out and measuring for a fridge platform. The battery is going to end up in the hole where the storage bin used to live.

Been chasing a “humming” noise for a while now. Replaced both front wheel bearings and also rebuilt the driveshaft with new CB and U joints.

still notice the hum, which is the loudest at 45mph. I can feel my SPC UCA bushings have some play when I grab the arm with the wheel on the ground. Also checked the rear wheels but don’t seem to have any play. Wondering if that vibration from the loose bushings could be making this noise.

Had something similar going on that progressively got worse until I replaced the front axels and swapped the drivers side inner axle bearing with the ECGS Bushing. Seems like a new truck now. Only vibration and noise I’m getting now is from a set of tires that are about 1/2 through there life, and developed some chopping at the shoulders before I got the pressure right.

Thank you. Yeah I changed for the ECGS bushing before. I also notice a bit of a transmission leak. Still need to correct my driveline angle after lifting too. Got a few things to fix up that may or may not lead to a hum lol

Changed my oil today and nearly had a heart attack when I noticed a small amount of the 'forbidden chocolate milk' on the inside of my oil filler cap. Had me confused for a bit because there was no coolant in the oil otherwise and no oil in the coolant I could see. The truck has been making lots of short trips recently so I'm guessing it was just a small amount of condensation mixed with the oil that hasn't been burned off with longer drives.

Also changed the PCV valve while I was at it. Old one still had a rattle to it, though it was a bit sludgy.
