Anyway, I just killed another rattle that was bugging the bleep out of me. I think it was the sos call switch, I rattled it by finger quite easily. Extra added for certainty. It was quite annoying.

    Snapped back in, gudentite.

I never liked the amber look for the fogs, I get the light cuts better through rain/snow but I went with the same and like it.

Yea I prefer the look of all white. I get the yellow is better for inclement weather, but if weather is bad I’m not out in it. These are mainly to help see deer on dark, curvy backroads.

Just had these at4w thrown on. LT. The ride is smooth and was rubbing on mudflaps with 1.25 inch spacers and Bilstein 5100 at 1.55 with 1/4inch strut mount spacers on top of each side. (Around 2 inch front lift maybe more) 1 inch block in the back. Stock UCA. Still need to have my OME UCA installed and will throw the stock mudflaps back on or throw some rokblok mudflaps if anything. Not close to the cab mount or the fender liner up front at all.

Bought some deck planks and marble, and joist hangers to create a ramp to shed. 1.5" lip is better than 6"-before ramp... Used leftovers 2x4 from a 6x8' fence panels I cut down to 4'.

    48"x48" Ramp.

I'm getting an idea of truck height looking at your suspension.

I'm getting TRD Suspension kit this Tue, which will give the front 2" and 1" in the rear with provided blocks. (I believe the shocks are Bilstein 5100s)

    You get rubbing on mudflaps?

I've got Bushwacker fender flares so no mudflaps on my Sport.

Installed the TRD skid plate that I scored off FB marketplace for $200. Also reinstalled the Miller Cat shield that I had taken off while I worked on the timing cover leak.

Lesson learned, I had installed the TRD skid plate first, but then I couldn't get to the front bolts on the Miller Cat shield so off came the TRD skid and then back on after the cat shield.

It's been a long weekend, I need to go back to work to get a break.

    lol

    Thanks for that.

I have the TRD Skid but it's mated up with the Talon CAT plate.

I over-torqued one of the security bolts and worked on removing it today with extractor kit...no dice!

I broke two of the drill bits...the second one got stuck way up inside!

Needless to say, I wrapped it up for the day...getting dinner and a beer now.

Most of my DIY skills result in a comedy of errors but with YouTube and persistence I can usually get the job done!

I’m planning to tackle the PCV sometime in the near future so we’ll see how that goes!

    Been a loooong weekend...

    1) De-badged (except the tailgate; might still do that. Really wish the didn't do that indented "TACOMA" thing)

    2) De-stickered (NOYB what trim)

    3) De-pinstriped (real pinstripes; not offroad pinstripes, the offroad ones are keepers)

    4) Put in a Bedrug (was considering a DIY, but the Bedrug was $100 off regular price so just went ahead and got one)

    5) Installed RSI Smartcap (I'll have a separate post later on this one-man build and install)

Stealth mode with the RSI cap looks good. Just need SR tail lights and bumper caps to finish the de-chrome.

I’m interested to see the details on your cap install, especially the weather-proofing to keep things dry.

I have a talon cat pro. My bolts were shot, not even the security ones. Doesn’t take much to round the interior of those heads. One came out fine the other 7 not so much. I used an extractor, broke a bit, got three out. Cut off the heads of 4 more and then spun them out by hand once the skid/pro was off. Got new hardware, stainless hex heads. Think it was 3 runs to the hardware store.
