Source for Toyota JIS hardware in bulk?

Hi all,

I know about McMaster Carr, Grainger, Ebay, and of course, the over-priced selection at my local ACE hardware store or the individual tagged and bagged OEM Toyota hardware that's dealer marked-up but does anyone know if any of the different suppliers who make hardware for Toyota sell it in bulk quantities? I'm mainly talking about the OEM, factory looking silver and gold zinc plated factory M8, M10 and M12 bolts with the captive washer in various lengths that hold so many fittings on to the body and frame of our Toyota cars and trucks. Looking for a cheaper source than going through a Toyota dealer. Thanks!

How about online sources for brand-new hardware? Mag chloride and 98% humidity in the PNW make the selection of used hardware around here...not so awesome. Plus, after 30+ years of Toyotas, I've already got a good selection of (haggard) used hardware.

 

It's even hard finding generic M8s with 12 mm hexes and M10s with 14 mm hexes.

Thanks for posting but for being the "Masters of Metric Fasteners", belmetric's selection is a bit weak compared to McMaster-Carr or even just the bulk metric hardware stores on Ebay.

I posted this question over on Ih8mud, too. The level of Toyota-philes on Mud, who demand only Toyota parts used down to the hardware, is kinda ridiculous but they do know their stuff. A member posted he can supply Toyota hardware at a discount and I'll likely take him up on it for some of the M8 hardware I'm looking for but I was really hoping to circumvent the Toyota parts bags while figuring out a little bit of the history behind those suppliers. I know a bit about Denso, NGK, Toyota's relationship with Yamaha and it'd be cool to figure out who manufactures hardware for Toyota and where in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, etc that occurs. Please post up if you have some info. Thanks!

 

I learned about Auveco when I worked at Fastenal years ago. We kept an actual catalog book in the store. I’m sure the book didn’t have every part available, but it had the actual fastener, not a picture, inside.

 

We own Fords and Subies, too, but I'm not as skilled at finding parts for those cars and trucks. Great to have a source for all the hard-to-find plastic, trim, clips, etc, too. Thanks again for the heads up.

If you live in the Phoenix, AZ area, try Mark's Nuts & Bolts. They are at 6710 W Belmont Ave, Glendale, AZ 85303. They don't have a real website, but I'll link to the Yelp site. I have had success at finding any metric bolt or nut I have needed. 8 mm at 8.8, 9.8, or 10.8. Similar with 6 mm. Metric hex head in stainless. Metric button head in stainless. Metric as small as 3 mm. I think I have seen them as large as 14 mm, but never needed bolts that big.
