    Hi Chris
    I am considering installation of the same Mishimoto transmission-oil cooler for my 2018 Taco. Have you been happy with this cooler? Did it make a temp-difference? Is the new cooler in series to the original oil cooler? Also, this cooler is for the Gen2 Taco. What did you have to do to make it fit on your Gen3 Taco?

    Good video.
    After installation:

    1) I added a full quart of WS to the trans to do my level testing.
    2) I pinned the T-Stat OPEN. I understand you do that to get all the trans fluid measured.
    3) I made sure I was in Temp Check Mode.
    4) Trans Temp checked with the Torque Pro as well as dash indicator lights - at about 95*F
    5) Took about 12 minutes to get to that temp.

    Results:
    a) I removed about 10 oz WS. That means the Hayden 678 and extra hoses took about 20 oz of fluid to operate at that temperature.
    b) I keep the T-Stat PINNED. Works really well ... see my previous posts.

    Out of the 25 days in August this year, 20 days have been above 100F*.

    As I understand it, the T-stat keeps the internal oil temp at a minimum of 190 degrees, with or without the external cooler.
    This allows the oil temp to rapidly come up to the proper temp at startup and maintain 190 degrees in cold weather.

    If hauling a trailer in hot weather, the T-stat still opens at 190 degrees and routes oil through the aux cooler.
    In this load situation the cooler will be of benefit.
    I can see where pinning the T-stat might lower the temp below 190 degrees in this hot situation.
