It's been real. 15 years seems to have flown by. A lot of memories are with that truck. I bought my 2nd gen new in February of 2010 and sold her last Friday 28 March 2025 with 113,xxx miles on her.

Don't be a stranger, door is always open, so do stop in now and then.

    What replaced your Taco?

Living in a city, the tacoma was all I ever needed. After moving out to the country I've said to myself many times, "I wish I had a bigger truck".

Toyota neutered the tacoma down to v4 and tundra down to v6 both with turbos to compensate. In my opinion these toyota trucks won't last as long because turbos and super chargers work engines many times harder. I also wanted to beat the tariffs. Silverado engines are made in Canada.

Well a 3/4 ton is a smart choice. I have a 97 K2500 suburban that continues to serve me well. You have get used to driving a larger vehicle, especially in parking lots.

    Enjoy your new ride.

I believe a 3/4 ton is more than I'll ever need. I hope this Silverado lasts that long. I hear a lot of negative about the longevity of "American" made vehicles. I've only ever owned Japanese vehicles. Thanks!

I love the look of the Red Hot Silverado LT with Trail Boss package and the 6.6L gas motor. After discounts they end up being the same price as the Trail Hunter/Raptor/ZR2 Bison (albeit a completely different animal). Looks so good, if I had the need for more truck I would go with that truck hands down. Wish you luck! You don't have to leave, I still lurk after selling my Tacoma in May of last year. This forum is way more active than anything domestic.
